“Iftar Indulgence” @ TEMPTations, Renaissance KL Hotel

In conjunction with the month of Ramadhan, experienced chef from TEMPTations Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel will be whipping up an elaborate buffet for Muslim guest to breakfast after a long day of fasting. The buffet, which is themed “Iftar Indulgence” invites guests to savour on delicious and authentic Asian delicacies as well as other local flavours.

“Iftar Indulgence”  Ramadhan buffet at TEMPTations, Renaissance KL will start from 29th June through 29th July 2014, priced at RM108++ per person and half price for children age between 6 to 12 years old, 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. Early birds can enjoy great savings by paying only RM88.16nett per person when they join the buffet from 29th June to 4th July 2014, and 24th July to 27th July 2014.

From local selection of “Kerabu” and “Sambal” to various types of specially prepared rice such as Nasi Minyak, Nasi Tomato and Nasi Bukhari to an array of “Gulai” to daily Roasted whole lamb with percik sauce till dessert, the choices for Ramadhan Buffet at TEMPTations proves to be wider, more extensive that their usual day selections.

Begin the meal with Salad & Appetizers such as Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Kerabu Jantung Pisang, Kerabu Nangka, Kerabu Kacang Botol, Kerabu Betik, Kerabu Mangga Bersantan, Kerabu Daun Selom, Kerabu Kacang Panjang Bersotong, Kerabu Ayam, Kerabu Daging, and Kerabu Udang. Diners will get seven types on daily rotation.

Apart from that, Rojak Buah-buahan, Otak-otak, Gado-gado, Telur Masin, Acar Jelatah, Pasembur, Tahu Sumbat, and Ulam-ulam Kampong extends the appetizer sections, together with daily pickles for example like Jeruk Betik, Keruk Manga, Jeruk Kelubi, Jeruk Jambu Batu, Jeruk Buah Pala and Jeruk Anggur. Sambal belacan, Sambal Tempoyak, Sambak Cencaluk, Sambal Ikan Kering and more are available too.

Move on to Live Noodle Station for a bowl of tummy warming noodles before reaching for tastebud tickling hot dishes. Here, you can have Penang Laksa, Laksa Kelantan, Nyonya Laksa or Laksa Johor with a choice of rice noodle, kuay teow or yellow noodles with condiments. Summergirl tried out Laksa Johor which fares a rich, spicy broth, less sourish than assam laksa.

For hot dishes, check out Daging Palembang, Kambing Masak Ketumbar, Bawal Masak Tomato, Sotong Masak Cili Kering Kicap Manis, Udang Lemak Cili Padi, Sayur Ladeh, Pucuk Paku Sambal Belacan; or Western delights including Grilled Chicken Leg and Fresh Herbs & Jus, Grilled Asparagus and Sauteed Mix Mushroom, Grilled Minute Black Pepper Sauce.

Chicken Malai Tikka from Indian Station is worth checking out-Well marinated and perfectly grilled to lend a tender, juicy munch, flavour lifted with herbs and spices rubbed over the meat.

Enjoy also crispy crackling crackers with a selection of Keropok Udang, Keropok Ikan, Keropok Sayur, Papadum, Keropok Bawang and Keropol Lekor. Addictive.

“Live Kitchen” dish out a la minute grilled seafood, and grilled chicken and beef satay with classic peanut sauce. We believe the Grilled Chicken Satay hits the palate of most diners in TEMPTations, as the tray is always polished clean in a jiffy once refilled.

Not to forget is the Roasted Whole Lamb Served with Percik Sauce and rice. Succulent with minimal gaminess, even our friends who rarely try on lamb dishes gave thumbs up to this Daily Carving.

Save some rooms for dessert! Sumptuous spread of Nyonya kuih and Malay sweet treats are arranged at the local dessert counter, highlighting Seri Muka, Kuih Kasui, Kuih Lapis, Pulut Panggang, Pulut Inti, Kuih Lompang, Kuih Keria, Kuih Angku, Bahulu, Dodol, Kuih Bangkit, Muruku, and Apam Balik in the list. Two types of Malay bubur will be served in the buffet too.

Last but not least, the colourful, alluring dessert and French pastries. Fruit Flan, Baked Cheesecake, Chocolate Fudge, Coconut and Mango Cake, Red Velvet Sponge Cake, Peach Cream Brulee Tart, Pineapple,Choux Pastries, Chocolate Éclair, Mini Tart, Mini Swiss Roulade and Sliced Cakes all taste good.
