From fine street-food style Kungfu Paradise to casual dining restaurants Paradise Dynasty and Paradise Inn till the soon-to-open banquet restaurant in Bangsar South, Paradise Group has done well in every aspect, constantly growing while maintaining quality of both food and service. We frequent to Paradise group’s restaurant numerous time, and glad that each return is satisfying.
This round, we fought through the heavy traffic during Thursday evening to Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, visiting Paradise Inn 樂天客棧 to sample their signature dishes, as well as some new dishes. The restaurant is located opposite to Starbucks Coffee, next to the entrance of Blue Atrium at LG floor.
Double-boiled Water Goby with Fresh Apple Soup蘋果生魚湯
Begin the meal with Double-boiled Water Goby with Fresh Apple Soup, a bowlful of nourishing flavours, potent with goodness of water goby and chicken with a faint hint of natural sweetness from fresh apple.
Mixed Fruit Salad with Tea-Smoked Duck 什果沙律熏鴨片
Mixed Fruit Salad with Tea-Smoked Duck, a dual-flavours appetizer that comes into good marriage when tuck in together, as the intense savouriness and smokiness of smoked duck is balanced out well with crisp, fruity sharp flavours of cubed mixed fruit.
Stew “Wuxi” Pork Ribs 無錫排骨
One of the must-have in Paradise Inn, which is also the chef’s award-winning dish. Hearty portion of pork ribs is first deep fried, and slowly braised for hours to result in extra soft, moist and melt-in-mouth texture, gracefully soaked up with thick, flavourful gravy that goes superb with a bowl of rice. Highly recommended.
Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawn in Wasabi Mayo Sauce 芥末蝦球
This is our second time having Crisp-fried Crystal Prawn in Wasabi Mayo Sauce, still as delicious and we like the creative concept of choosing wasabi mayo as the coating sauce, delivering a fusion Japanese touch yet maintaining the quick flash-fried method that local Chinese fond of.
Shrimp Paste Chicken 蝦醬雞翅膀
Worth mentioned deep fried chicken wings jacketed with fragrant, savoury flavours of shrimp paste, crispy at the outside, succulent at the inside. So finger licking good, can’t doubt it for being the best seller in Paradise Inn. Loved by both yong and old. Must-try!
Steamed Minced Pork with Salted Fish and Water Chestnut 鹹魚蒸肉餅
While Paradise Inn continuously add in innovative dishes into their menu, the kitchen doesn’t stop churning out delicacies that makes you remind the taste of home. Take the Steamed Minced Pork with Salted Fish and Water Chestnut as example, this simple dish that draws pleasant saltiness from salted fish and sweetness from minced pork is always popular among the young and old.
Braised Vermicelli with Pork Trotters 豬手燜米粉
Not to forget is the Braised Vermicelli with Pork Trotters, the old school flavours that stir fried vermicelli with pork trotters, taking the advantages of vermicelli which is quick in absorbing flavours of sauce.
Seafood with Spicy Homemade Sauce 香辣海鮮
Seeing that large amount of customers who patronize Paradise Inn goes to individual set, the restaurant comes up with a few new individual sets comprise of sizzling, chargrill, hot pot and steamed main dishes.Each set comes with a bowl of rice and soup, add on RM5.50 for Oo Long Tea and refreshing dessert.
Fiery Tender Chicken in “Kung Bao” Sauce 石鍋宮保雞球
We tried out Seafood with Spicy Homemade Sauce and Fiery Tender Chicken in “Kung Bao” Sauce set, both fiery hot and tongue burning. Appetizing, and lead you to finish a bowl of rice unaware.
Tom Yum Salad Shrimp 冬炎沙律蝦
Soon-to-be-launched dish in Paradise Inn. Muching across the crispy deep fried layer to reveal a burst of juiciness, sweetness and bounciness of shrimp, beautifully dotted with spicy, creamy, sourish sauce.
