Ippudo BSC 2017 Grand Menu: Kogashi “Burned” Miso Ramen!

Being one of the legendary Japanese ramen establishments well-known worldwide, Ippudo certainly doesn’t go famous for no reason. Thick, cloudy white, flavourful signature tonkotsu broth immersed with thin, springy ramen, topped with beautifully done egg with runny egg yolk and delicious meat slices – a gracious bowl of Ippudo ramen always brings satisfaction in every slurp.

Kogashi Miso Ramen RM35 – “burned” Miso broth ignited in billowing fire of 300°C lard

In Malaysia, Ippudo has never missed their crown as “One the best Japanese ramen restaurants in town” since its opening. With Kuala Lumpur as their outlets focus place, Ippudo currently has 3 outlets in Klang Valley, namely Ippudo Pavilion KL, Ippudo BSC and Ippudo The Gardens Mall. Many is looking forward to upcoming Ippudo branch, so do us. It may happen, hopefully we do not have to wait long.

Gindara Saikyo Miso Yaki RM78 – Grilled cod fish marinated with Saikyo Miso, served in bacon & citrus dashi broth with egglant and maitake

While keeping your anticipation on the where about of next Ippudo Malaysia location on-going, elevate your dining experience with Ippudo Bangsar Shopping Center Grand Menu 2017 in the meantime. It is launching in 4th quarter this year, featuring exciting food and drinks that will make your visit to Ippudo BSC KL more worthwhile.

Pork Rillette RM27

We started with Pork Rillette – a French inspired dish with Ippudo own creative twist. Pork pate as the base, further flavoured up with Porto wine – spot the purple dark, glossy layer on top, that it is. You won’t find the pate in extremely creamy paste-like consistency, but less thicker, helmed with pleasing sweetness and mild grape sourness. Equally rich but more appetizing. Not cloying even if you eat it on its own. We spread it over crunchy garlic toasted baguattes, and polish clean the remaining pate as-is.

Deep Fried Samurai Ribs RM31

Meat lovers, if you enjoy the Braised Pork Ribs with Caramel & Marmalade Sauce on Ippudo BSC current menu, this Deep Fried Samurai Ribs with Chef’s secret sauce and spices marination is made for you. Moist, tender and easily fall-off-the-bone meat, shielded with light golden brown, crispy outer layer. 3 in a plate, so lip smacking good that Summerkid finish all by himself.

Wagyu Beef Steak RM108/100g; RM198/200g

Luscious, premium Wagyu steak that is all about simple perfection. Suggest to go for medium rare, getting the lovely pinkish-red centre retained so that you can enjoy the best flavour and texture possible. Served with eringi and sweet potato in a hot stone plate, and kiwi daikon oroshi,, balsamic vinegar and wasabi as condiments.

Yokubari Maki RM118

It is alright to go greedy with your sushi craving as Ippudo presented this Yokubari Maki – a takuan, avocado and cucumber maki roll topped with seared Wagyu beef and fresh uni. Beef is not towards extremely fatty melt-in-mouth, but we are happy with the superior taste that makes our sushi more buttery, delicate in every bite.

Zeitaku Maki RM98

Taking a switch from Wagyu beef, we delve into flavours from sea with Zeitaku Maki – another takuan, avocado and cucumber sushi, brimming with freshly minced Tuna belly, Amaebi (sweet shrimp), Uni (sea urchin) and Ikura (salmon roe) on top. Colourful, umami freshness, like an ultimate luxury Gunkan sushi.

Buri Kama RM95, & Salmon Head Acqua Pazza RM59

Summergirl’s favourite among all. Generous portion of buri and salmon fish head poached in herb broth, lacing aroma of oegano, basil and dill within. Sided with clam, boccoli, tomatoes and shimeji mushroom that have graciously soaking up the flavours and essence of this tummy warming, savoury soup.

Kogashi Miso Ramen RM35

Long awaited, star of all in our dinner that night has finally arrived. What makes this Kogashi Miso ramen stays outstanding –  the miso-infused tonkotsu broth is ignited in the billowing fire of 300°C lard, producing a bowl rich, smoky soup in deep black colour, with aromatic burnt pieces floating on top of the broth.

The broth has some sweetness in it, adding extra dimension to the overall taste. Top with pork belly, salted soft boiled egg, naruto-maki, cabbage and seaweed. Get your chopstick ready and tuck in!

Mango Tango Cocktail

Since many of the dishes in Ippudo BSC is not available in other Malaysia outlets, and they are created to pair with beer, cocktail, sake and so forth, do complement your meal with Ippudo BSC specially curated drinks like Suntory Premium Malt, Mango Tango, White Shake, Iichiko Passion, Yuzu Mojito and more! Our Mango Tango is so photography worthy, and we love the not too sweet concoction of Japanese whisky, passion, mango and lemon. Must-try.

Do check out Ippudo BSC Grand Menu 2017 in your next visit to Bangsar Shopping Centre Kuala Lumpur. Kogashi “burned” miso broth ramen, Wagyu Beef Steak, Samurai Deep Fried Pork Ribs and Buri Kama RM95, & Salmon Head Acqua Pazza are some of our recommended dishes.
