Japanese Live Cook Teppanyaki section is highly recommended, also our must-have every time dining in Le Meridien Latest Recipe buffet. Orders are cooked upon order, and diners can choose to have beef, shrimp or chicken. We especially love the beef, tender throughout, deeply flavoured with sauce. Shrimp is good too, heaped with liberal amount of creamy sauce.
Apart from the Teppanyaki, pick up few pieces of tempura from the counter next to it for some crunchy goodness. Fresh, buttery salmon sashimi is available further down at the corner of Japanese section.
Chinese corner is noteworthy too, with colourful Chinese dim sum such as Char Siew Bao, Har Gau, Siu Mai, etc.. Have a bowl of pipping hot wantan soup with springy egg noodles from the same counter too if you wish to.
We didn’t pay much attention to the pasta section at first, as it will fill up the stomach space quickly. But Summergirl is so into carbonara pasta all the time, she tried out a plate of Fettuccine Carbonara sprinkled with extra cheese powder. To our surprise, it is good! Sauce is just nice, moderately creamy so we won’t feel cloying. We can still continue hunting down other food from the buffet counter after this!
Open Face Puff of The Day, Potato Gnocchi with Beef Bacon & Spinach Cream, Lamb Stewed with Eggplant, Olive & Tomato, Vegetable Fritters, Barley & Bean Cassoulet further complement the Western choices.
What’s more, a special dish of the day is featured daily on a rotating menu. This includes Roasted Baby Lamb with 10 spices served with Garlic Cumin Sauce, Baked Sea Bass with Creamy Curry Sauce, Grilled Stingray, Oven Roasted Chicken with Seasame & Fenugreek-Trigona Honey Sauce are much anticipated.
Live Goreng-goreng corner brings in typical Malaysian snacks that can be found on the streets. Enjoy and assortment of fried bananas, jackfruit, sweet potato, breadfruit and yam, all deep fried to golden brown, crispy.
After rounds of tempting Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine, end the meal with something sweet.
