Double-boiled Superior Shark’s Fin Soup with Fish Maw, American Top Shell, Dried Scallops 美國鮮螺頭花膠瑤柱燉鮑翅

Warm up the tummy with Double-boiled Superior Shark’s Fin Soup, a soothing, nourishing soup generously loaded with premium ingredients including fish maw, american top shell, dried scallops.

Steamed Capon Chicken Traditional Style 白切腌雞

IMG_3047

Capon chicken has size larger than normal farm chicken, smaller than turkey. Corn-fed, hence this explains the beautiful yellowish skin. Meat is slightly chewy, requiring more jaw exercise but overall, an interesting try as restaurants rarely serve capon chicken for CNY.

Oven Baked King River Prawn with Cheese 日食烤大生蝦

IMG_3053

Oven Baked King River Prawn with Cheese, one of our favourite. Fresh, bouncy and meaty prawns, flavours heighten up with rich, creamy white sauce and melting-cheese topped over. Delicious, easily loved by the young and old.

Steamed Cod Fish with Superior Soya Sauce and Black Fungus 云耳鮮枝竹蒸鱈魚

A Chinese New Year meal is incomplete without a fish dish. Ee Chinese Cuisine’s doesn’t disappoint with a huge plate of moist, delicate steamed cod fish, dressed in superior soy sauce and back fungus.

Claypot Fragrant Rice with Preserved Waxed Meats 瓦煲臘味飯

IMG_3075

A classic rice dish that we will never get bored with. Laborious preparation, as each portion of rice is cooked separately using claypot, pot by pot. Waxed meats are then placed on top of the rice and steamed together to have the flavours, essences, savouriness of the meat release into the rice. Before served, swirls of sauces made up of dark sauce, soy sauce and chef secret spices is drizzled over – for colours, and more flavours. Pick your favourite of either Chinese sausage, duck liver or preserved duck and go with the rice. Must try. So good.

Sweet Duets 幸福美點雙輝

End the meal sweet with warmth Double-boiled Snow Lotus with Longan and Snow Fungus, followed by carefully crafted Sweet Duets that makes Eastin Hotel KL Chinese New Year menu more noteworthy.

IMG_3100

Really love the Sweet Duets which is made up of Osmanthus Jelly with coconut juice – chilly, refreshing for a light finish;

.. and deep fried morsels with “Nian Gao” and Pandan Lotus Paste filling – this is so good. Crispy and chewy with just right sweetness. Never thought that pandan lotus and glutinous rice cake could be a good match. LOL.
