The BBP Restaurant in The Club@Bandar Bukit Utama PJ takes prides on pork dishes on their menu, putting together “everything about pork” in their newly launched brunch to standard ala-carte menu, as well as special platter to fit special occasions. That says, the closest at this time- Chinese New Year!
Chu Sang ( RM49/half, RM88/full)
#TheBBP proudly name their “lou sang” as Chee Sang, means Yee Sang with pork. Yes, you heard it right. Colourful shredded vegetables and crackers brimming over the huge plate, generously sprinkled with crispy bacon bits, zhu yau zhar (deep fried pork larf), and Jamon Iberico to replace raw salmon. A whole new experience of eating lou sang. Tastewise, of course good, a dish is hard to go wrong with our favourite zhu yau zhar, albeilt a tad oily.
Suckling Pig RM350
For a more merrier Chinese New Year celebrations, BBP offers roasted Sukling Pig at RM350 each. Can’t help but to love the glossy, golden brown crispy outer layer, set off with succulent meat and a layer of fat in between. Call and order 1 day in advance.
Even though pork has taken the crown in The BBP, other poultry choices are not shadowed too. Take this One Hot Chick as example, glad that it is equally good when compared to the suckling pig, in different dimension. Fire is flamed over the “standing roasted chicken” when served to us, taking the dish to a photography-worthy moments, short but memorable.
For diners who visit for brunch, options are general covering Egg Benedicts, BBP Omelette, Spicy Pork Sandwich, Iberico Bacon Croissant, Pancakes with Berries & Whipped Cream, and Mixed Garden Salad. You can also build your own brunch, choosing egg cooking method, meat, sides and sauces you like.
Spicy Pork Sandwich RM25
Our favourite goes to Spicy Pork Sandwich, believe to be the most outstanding platter on the brunch menu. Pork steak, nachos, melted cheese, tomato sandwiched within two toast, served with great portion of fresh cut fries. Love the additional crunch and flavours from nachos and spicy sauce with the meat, a touch of creativeness within the normal.
Brunch is served from 11AM till 3PM on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy~
