From Daegu Korea to Kota Kinabalu Malaysia, Nunpat Korean Dessert Cafe ventures into Peninsular Malaysia with a brand new name but same good taste – Beans N Beans. Currently, there are two Beans N Beans in Klang Valley, one in Citta Mall while the other in Damansara Uptown, newly opened with less than one month old.

Green Tea Bingsu RM16.80

Beans N Beans specializes in Korean famous dessert – bingsu, with a noteworthy difference from many other bingsu available in KL & PJ. Digging into their signature Green Tea Bingsu & Chocolate Bingsu, you will discover scoops of shaved ice made using real Green Tea imported from Jeju and real Chocolate, not just normal shaved ice or milk base shaved ice topped with flavours of these.

Choco Bingsu RM16.80

Beans N Beans bingsu leans towards milky and dense texture instead of snowy version as served from the Korean dessert shop nearby, but pretty similar to the version we had in Hanbing Bangsar KL. If this is how you like your bingsu to be like, this is the place you should go for.

Cappuccino

Normal shaved ice with interesting flavours – Cheese, caramel, Konggi (soya bean) and Patgi (red bean) are available too, but we still prefer the best seller Choco Bingsu and Green Tea Bingsu. Choco Bingsu is our top favourite, as we can’t help loving the combination of ” real chocolate shaved ice + sliced banana +  chocolate ice cream + choco biscuit crumbs + choco brownie + chocolate sauce”. Just imagine the deep chocolaty.

Banana Apple Vinegar RM10.40

Drinks play a major role here, with a long list of classic coffee selection such as americano, latte, cappuccino, mocha, together with Beans N Beans innovative drinks, says, banana apple vinegar. Definitely not love at the first sip but as we drink on, we began to enjoy the mildly acidic, tartness of vinegar with a touch of banana sweetness infused within.

Sparkling Grapefruit RM13.80

In case you are not so into such oddly – tasty drink, we recommend Sparkling Grapefruit. Refreshing, easy to drink, perfect for the scorching hot weather in the country recently.

Injulmi Honey Toast (RM12.50)

Beans N Beans menu covers also toast & sandwich, including Omelette Ham Cheese Sandwich (RM13.80), Chicken Bulgogi Sandwich (RM14.50), Spicy Gochujang Tuna Sandwich (RM12.80) , Garlic Cheese Bread for savoury; Red Bean Cheese Toast (RM12.50), Injulmi Honey Toast (RM12.50), Cinnamon Honey Bread (RM15.00) for the sweet.

We were told that Beans N Beans Hot Red Bean Soup is noteworthy too but due to limited stomach space, we decided to keep it for next visit. Our recommendation: Choco Bingsu. Thumbs up! Suggest to share between two persons as the portion is quite huge.
