This coming holy month of Ramadan, enjoy a gastronomy journey at Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur as the chef churn out a myriad of mouthwatering traditional Malay cuisines, all lined up in their Ramadhan buffet. The buffet dinner is priced at RM90nett per adult, RM40nett per child from 4-12 years old. Available daily from 6th June 2016 till 3rd July 2016 at La Maison Restaurant.
During the Ramadhan period, from 6.30PM to 10.30PM, Chef Mohd Fazi, Silka Maytower Hotel Executive Chef will prepare a sumptuous spread of food. Starts with salad and appetizers. Opens up the appetite with Acar timun & Nenas, Rojak Buah-buahan, Tauhu Sumbat dengan Sos Cili Pedas, Jeruk Buah-buahan, Begedil Ayam, Kerabu Mangga dengan Kacang, Kerabu Betik Muda and Kerabu Perut.
Salted Fish, crackers and Ramadhan Special like lemang, ketupat Daun Pelas, Serundin Daging, Serundin Ayam, Rendang Ayam, Rendang Daging, Ulam-ulaman with Sambal Belacan, Cincaluk, Budu, Sambal Kicap, Sambal Magga Muda add a festive touch to the Ramadhan buffet.
Diners can also enjoy Western Salad that put together wholesome ingredients for a healthy berbuka puasa dinner. Mixed Garden Green Salad, Grilled Chicken Salad with Mango Salsa and Avocado, Mixed Seafood Salad with Cocktail Sauce are choices to opt for.
For soup section, it goes back to traditional favourite including Bubur Lambuk and Sup Ekor Lembu. Penang Curry mee is also a good option, if you are diner who love indulging into tummy warming dishes. Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur ‘s version of Curry Mee was alright, flavourful broth with medium spiciness, better if the saltiness could be reduced.
Here comes the main courses, the most exciting part. Grab a plate and add in bits of everything from the chafing dish. We don’t eat tempoyak but according to one of the bloggers sharing same table with us during the Ramadhan preview, she told us that Silka Maytower is doing right with their Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak. A recommended, delicious dish in their Ramandhan buffet.
Chicken satay, beef satay, grilled fish aka ikan fish are served outdoor, freshly prepared from charcoal flame grill. Have your grilled ikan pari, ikan cencaru sumbat and ikan terubuk with condiments air assam, sambal kicap, spicy Thai sauce.
Roasted Lamb with Rosemary and Mint Sauce with briyani Rice
Dessert spread aren’t extensive but worth saving some tummy space for it, as their Bubur Cha-cha, Pengat Labu and Bubut Kacang Hijau Malay sweet soup are quite good. A balance of sweetness with coconuty, not too cloying. Other sweet treat include Pandan Layer Cake, ice cream, agar-agar, sago gula melaka, kurma, and more.
