The month of Ramadan is approaching and On The Table at Solaris Dutamas joins in the blessing month too by presenting Ramadhan Promotion Set Meals during the whole month. This restaurant is a “contemporary World Cuisine restaurant that serves gourment cuisine crafted by a team of experienced chef lead by Chef Riz, son of the celebrity chef “Chef Wan”. ” Driven by his passion of food, this Ramadhan Promotion Set Meals are specially prepared too, to satisfy the taste buds of every diner.
There are two promotion sets available, where Set 1 priced at RM19.90 and RM29.90 for Set 2.

Starter
The starter which consists of dates, spring roll and keropok. It is same for the both set.
The mango kerabu is very appetizing, for the shredded young mango is quite sour with a touch of spiciness from the chili, not to forget the crashed peanuts which give an extra crunchy texture.
The pumpkin soup, being thick and creamy in consistency, is an ideal starter with a piece of bread by the side.
Ceasar salad, though looks simple, is not short of flavors. As freshness is the key that makes a salad tastes good, On The Table does well in this case.
Prefer an Asian starter? Tomyam soup will be your choice. By looking at the red hot colour, you can roughly predict that the soup is hot, spicy and sour. Squid, prawns, clams and mushroom, you got everything in the small bowl of soup.
Nasi Goreng Kerabu has fried rice served together with fried chicken and prawn. The fried rice is decent, with a distinct taste of herbs and spices. Take a dip on the fiery chili with a squeeze of lime juice to bring up some spicy sensation.
Spaghetii Aglio Olio is al-dente, with good portion of mushroom tossing together with the pasta. A little spicy, and not to oily, but the portion can be larger.
Don’t feel like having rice or noodles? Don’t worry, On The Table has Grilled Chicken in the set. Nicely marinated and perfectly grilled, the chicken thigh will not go wrong with its taste. It is tender yet flavorful with mushroom sauce, and serves with a bed of fries for carb.
Comes to the Set 2, which is priced at RM29.90, you may have a hard time deciding which one to be your mains, as they all seem tempting.
Nasi Goreng Mama Yati comes with a sizeable portion of fried rice topping with a sunny side up, and sided with tiger prawns. A spoonful of runny egg yolk and a mouthful of fragrance rice, I am hooked.
Spaghetti Marinara
Spaghetti Marinara is indeed the best mains in my opinion. The pasta is prized at the marinara sauce, which is not too creamy and not too watery, and its’ taste stands in the middle between two. It combines the thickness of tomato puree and aroma of spices, allowing every strands of the pasta to coat perfectly with the sauce. So delicious that you will not want to share the portion with others.
Tuck into the burger with a thick and juicy beef patty, fresh tomato, lettuce and half melted cheese sandwiching between two fluffy soft bun, you will brim with satisfaction. Polish off the fries and sided salad, you will surely be full by then.
Both the sets end with Dessert Platter combining dessert such as panna cotta, black glutinous rice sweet soup and traditional Malay kuih such as Kuih Seri Muka, kuih pelita, kuih kasturi.
I believe this Ramadhan Set will draw a good feedback, because while we are sampling the food, diners from the next table already get interested and non-stop asking the Senior Manager on what is the promotion, what are the food that will be served in the set and when will it be available. =)
