Replacing Four Seas at Bangsar Jalan Bangkung, Madisons is a young restaurant who is also the family of Opus Bistro, Leonardo’s and Cava restaurants. This year, Madisons joins in the KL Restaurant Week, and diners will be glad to savour meals prepared by Chef Kelly who hails from Australia, armed with both Adelaide and Melbourne cooking experience and headed Adelaide’s award winning Auge Italian restaurant before.

Together with the chef, Leah Delaney take cares of the restaurant’s management and marketing, fully utilizes her seventeen years of working and restaurant owning experience in  Europe. With warmth ushers and great services, your dining experience in Madisons will surely end with a satisfying smile.

The restaurant boasts a relaxed and informal dining experience, allowing diners to appreciate the long journey of discoveries in food and wine. The entire place isn’t spacious, but the chic design focusing on wooden elements and grey brown themes turn the entire space into a vogue, stylish scene.
In this KL Restaurant week, there will be two menus offered, which is 3 courses lunch menu priced at RM38nett and dinner menu priced at RM78nett. Lunch menu started with Soup of the Day of Selection of Salumi, followed by Roast suckling pig filled pastry pillows with caramelized apples and tomato Chutney
or Frseh Market Fish, parsnip mash with beetroot chips, French sausage and burgundy sauce as mains.

Roast suckling pig filled pastry pillows with caramelized apples and tomato Chutney may seem simple, but the chef actually uses 18 hours to prepared the suckling pig before wrapping them into a flaky, crispy pastry. Presented beautifully in mouth size, this little pastry definitely worth ordered to be savoured slowly to appreciate the hard work behind, and essence of this dish.

The later choice is our favourite. Topping over a bed of smooth, creamy mash potato, the fish is soft ,fresh, locked with moisture of fat. Texture added with beetroot chips and chopped French sausage, dressed over with burgundy sauce for a perfect end notes.
End the meal with Fresh black mission figs and homemade cheese cake, and asked for a cuppa of coffee or tea later then.

For dinner menu, diners can get a choice of Soup of the day or Tuft duck and chicken liver pate served with red wine jelly. We find the later noteworthy, with a creamy tuft duck and chicken liver pate gracefully smothered over pieces of crispy bread, giving contrast in texture. Same goes to the red wine jelly that showcases a faint hint of tanginess, helping to clean the palate.

Continued on for mains diner can choose to have Slow cooked beef cheek served with mash, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, crispy basil or Fettuccini of seasonal mushrooms, shaved asparagus speck and truffle butter or Fresh Market fish, parsnip mash with beetroot chips, French sausage and burgundy sauce. We try out the first choice, which is undeniably good. Pieces of beef cheek beautifully coated with braised sauce, so flavourful tender, almost melt in mouth.
For dessert, diners will be served with Apple and baby pear crumble with crispy sage and burnt butter ice cream.
Tempted? For a seat for yourself and your loves one for a great 3-course meal with Madisons this KL Restaurant Week from 4 to 11 October 2013!
