Golden Valley Chinese Muslim Restaurant @ TTDI, Kuala Lumpur

Chinese Muslim food- A type of cuisine we seldom venture into, and rarely come across in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley areas. The opening of Golden Valley at LGB Tower, TTDI opens up the chance to cater Chinese delicacies for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Golden Valley is pork-free, currently in the process of obtaining  HALAL certification. Menu here spans across wide varieties of choices,  from soup to vegetables, meats, seafood to noodles, each section seem to have at least 5 choices.  Set meals are available too, narrowing down the menu list into few signature dishes in each set to cater different tastebud and preference.

Steam Seabass in Nyonya Style (RM 7/ 100g)
Nyonya style fish is the must-have, featuring fresh 700grams steamed fish drenched in a bed of red hot gravy- rich, mild in spiciness with a touch of tang, so appetizing that we can easily clear a plate of white rice clean by scooping sauce over our rice.

Lala in Superior Broth (RM 20)
Can’t doubt that lala is fresh, with sweetness infused into superior soup. Great to be savored before the mains, comforting and warm up the belly. Just a little overwhelmed with ginger spiciness, but it is still much depends on your liking towards ginger.

Salad Sauce Prawn (RM25)
Salad prawn has a good proportion of batter and prawn, deep fried to golden brown to result in crispy fresh at the outside, bouncy at the inside munch, flavour enhanced with generous drizzle of creamy mayo dressing.

Mushroom and Brocolli (RM 15 (S)/ RM 23 (L))
Broccoli mushroom for balanced nutrients fix. Taste fine, better if the gravy saltiness can be tuned down. Despite so, it goes well with rice.

Kong Po Chicken Yam Basket (RM 25)
Deep fried Yam ring, one of the highly recommended dishes in Golden Valley, fares decently with texture contrast, where it is lightly crisp at the outer layer, brimming with dense, creamy texture inside, overflowed with chunks of chicken pleasantly coated with spicy kung po sauce at the center wall.
