Viva La Vida Spanish Buffet @ Sentidos, Starhill Gallery Kuala Lumpur

We were so excited when Sentidos Gastrobar and Dining at Feast Village, Starhill Gallery Kuala Lumpur launches Viva La Vida, a special weekly Saturday night dining event which offers diners with a buffet spread of Spanish cuisines, and free flow of alcohol-based drinks that bring more joys!

Buffet + unlimited alcohol, Saturday night can’t be any better than this!

Priced at RM98++ per person, diners will be served with a line of cold and hot dishes such as traditional seafood paellas, caesar salad, potato salad, nachos, tortillas with ceviche and guacamole, cold cuts, salmon gravlax, and more exciting antipasti.

Unlimited free flow of alcohol is available within the dining hours of 8pm-10pm, and options included Tiger draught, red house wines, white house wines, cocktails- mojito, sangria, caipiroska, caipirinha, and margarita. Of all the cocktails, sangria is highly recommended.

Apart from antipasti, indulge in hot dishes prepared by Sentidos Gastrobar’s very own chef Kok Yew Nin. There are eight types to choose from, all written on chalkboard menu, freshly made upon request.

BBQ Honey Chicken Wing, Clam Chowder, Grill Lamb Cutlet, Wagyu Beef Meatball, Grilled Cumberland Sausage, Grilled Vege Skewers, Spanish Paprika Chili Cheese Toast, Deep Fired Calamari- all selections seem promising.

BBQ Honey Chicken Wing goes well with beer, we enjoyed tucking in the outer skin layer grilled to slightly charred, resulting in crispy, pleasant smokiness that balanced well with sticky sweet honey sauce coated over.  Meat is no doubt tender, well locked with juiciness.

Wagyu Beef Meatballs is another must have choice. With the use of premium quality beef and impeccable skills of chef in preparation, all essential ingredients are mixed to perfect ratio, not exactly bouncy but definitely juicy, meaty, flavorful. We had five helpings of these wonderful, delicious meatballs.

Spanish Paprika Chili Cheese Toast falls on spicier side, not for those who seek for ony mild hot dishes. Despite so, Summergirl loves the combination of cheese and chili which come to a good marriage, cheesy with sharp spiciness of chili to height up the dish’s flavours, yet not overwhelmed.

Deep Fried Calamari is a  addictive snack which is more than just crunchy with briny sweetness of squid. We ordered one for sharing initially but ended up ordering another two bowls. It is too good to share!
