Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Hotels & Resorts Weekend Getaway

A short weekend getaway to Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Hotels & Resorts! Yay!

The month of May has been hectic so we thought of going “somewhere” for rest & relax over the weekend. Plus, this is a special month to celebrate Summergirl’s birthday. Thought of visiting Melaka or Penang but we are afraid with the state’s heavy traffic during Wesak Day. So we decided to stay in and there we go – Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside.

Accor hotels is one of our favourite hotel groups, as the brands offer excellent service, reasonable room price and cozy ambience for satisfying staycation. Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside is one of them, also our latest stay under the establishment after Mercure Bangkok.

It is less than 3oKM from KLIA and KLIA2, about 30minutes drive to reach Kuala Lumpur. Strategic location but away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful landscape and a tranquil view of Putrajaya Lake. Ideal 5-star hotel choice for tourists who are on a 3D2N or 2D1N trip to Putrajaya – the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. Even merely for short getaway, like us, it is highly recommended too!

Check-in time for Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside is 2PM, check-out before 12PM. It took us some time during check-in, but understood due to the nature of resort itself, which is quite big with various wings and amphitheatre. Hotel staffs patiently explain to guest while answering their questions to ensure that guests are clear with the direction. They also gave us a Hotel Map as guide.

There are 4 wings in Pullman Putrajaya, namely Bunga Tanjung Wing, Jasmine Wing, Rafflesia Wing and Lotus Wing with 281 impressive guest rooms, suites and aparments. Each wing is specially crafted to depict architecture that are distinctively ethnic Malay, Chinese, Indian and of the Borneo continent. A thoughtful idea to provide a unique experience of Malaysia’s multicultural background for guests.

Jasmine Wing celebrates the richness of Indian design with typical Indian forms, patterns and colours; plus the superiority of Indian skills on working with marble and metal. Rafflesia Wing is named after a giant flower commonly found at Borneo forest, with architecture of Dayak people. Lotus Wing is enriched by Chinese garden, complete with small bridges and fish pond, Chinese Character painted in red.

We stayed in one of the Superior Rooms in Bunga Tanjung Wing, an area well-incorporated with traditional Malay characters. Spacious room with size of 29sqm, equipped with LCD TV, free internet access, 15 inch safe deposit box, in-room shoe, iron, ironing board, refrigerator, mini bar with kettle, tea & coffee.

Our King size bed. Super comfortable to sleep in.

Bathroom is huge, with separated area for toilet and shower. No bathtub for the room we booked. Complete with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, sewing kit, hair dryer, towels and other bathroom essentials.

Wii Room + Games Room

Swimming Pool

Pullman Putrajaya offers more than just comfy bed. We walked out from the room after a good rest, took some pictures and checked out some of the activities available. Including Wii Room + Games Room, Karaoke Room, Fitness Centre, Spa Lounge, Water Sports, Kids Room, Swimming Pool, White Beach and Jogging Track.

Man-made White Beach

Even though Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside is not by the seaside, we managed to step into white sand and posing with coconut trees LOL. Thanks to the hotel for creating a manmade beach that both kids and adults will love spending some time here.

Jogging & Bicycle Track

Take a stroll along the Jogging & Bicyle Track in the evening and enjoy the cold breeze. Morning time is quite hot but that is also the best time to take photos with Pullman Putrajaya stunning buildings as the backdrop, perfect with clear blue sky.

The Village

The perfect event location for birthday party, corporate dinner, proposal, wedding ceremony or any other celebration. Guests can indulge into Mediterranean and contemporary Asian cuisine under a traditional attap roofing. Sunday BBQ Brunch Buffet is served here too!

China Bar & Lounge

Executive Lounge

Guests staying in Executive Rooms, Executive Suites and Pullman Suite can enjoy pre-dinner cocktail served in the Executive Lounge. Opens daily from 7.00PM till 11.00PM.

Our next day breakfast was at B’s all-day-dining restaurant. Extensive spread for first meal of the day, covering both Asian and Western delights. From Nasi Lemak, Porridge, Dim Sum to Waffles with Honey, Pancakes with Berry Sauce, Omelette, Toasted Bread, Danish, Cereal & Milk, Hashbrown, Sausages, Fruits, Yogurt, Cheese Platter, Fruit Juice, Coffee, Tea, everything is decently churned out.

Overall review: a great 2D1N stay in Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside Hotels & Resorts. We love their bed, mini white beach and exquisitely designed architecture.
