Hokkaido Ice Cream Puff Malaysia is now opened at Jonker Street Melaka, Ipoh Old Town, Sungai Long, Kepong KL Golden Sweet Home Restaurant, Paris Mini Baker Kampar and Batu Pahat. Currently, there are 6 locations where you can get this ice cream dessert but with their quick expansion, we believe there’ll be more coming soon in different states and towns.

One year back, people were queuing for colourful macaroon ice cream sandwich and in less than a year, this creative pastry shop from Kampar Perak, has made themselves famous on Instagram and Facebook with their adorable looking Hokkaido Ice Cream Puff – ice cream filled in Japanese-style crispy cream puff.

We had a try on this mini sweet treat from their latest outlet in Golden Sweet Home Restaurant Kepong 唐人街头茶餐室.  Glad that the queue wasn’t long. We waited for only 10 minutes to get our Mango and Yam flavour Hokkaido Ice Cream Puff.

There are various types of ice cream to choose from – Durian, Yam, Mango, Raspberry, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Green Tea. RM3.80 per piece. Considered cheap in price, ideal dessert to beat the heat but quality wise, try not to compare with premium artisan ice cream out there. We do enjoy the freshly baked cream puff, crispy outer shell with nice buttery aroma.

Hokkaido Ice Cream Puff is getting their target right, with branch opening in tourist areas, shop near to university, and neighbourhood surrounded by street food. Together with their price range which is highly acceptable by almost everyone, guess the wave of this ice cream sandwich journey will go beyond expectation. We do love this concept! Will visit again when down to Melaka and Ipoh!
