Feeling Plus, The Five Damansara: Coffee & Toasties

February 9, 2022 by summerkid_summergirl

Good coffee and awesome toasties – enough reasons for us to pay a visit to Feeling Plus, a new cafe at The 5th Place, The Five @ KPD, Bukit Damansara.

Feeling Plus, or Feeling+, is a new venture by the enthusiastic team behind Optimist Coffee. Optimist Coffee started as a humble coffee kiosk near the escalator entrance/exit of Ampang LRT. Their on-the-go fresh cup of Joe with optimistic quotes on the coffee cup has always been an essential morning caffeine-dose for many office workers nearby, including us, who used to work around that area.

Happy to see them grow, with more sister outlets in KL city centre and now, a beautiful cafe with minimalism concept in Damansara. Toasties takes the limelight on Feeling Plus menu, featuring toasted to crispy at the edges, chewy soft within bread slices sandwiched with fillings like Kimchi & Mushroom, Tripe-Cheese Toastie, Miso Chicken & Pumpkin, BBQ Beef Bacon, Twice-Fried Chicken Sando, Mac n Cheese & Cauliflower Karaage.

Most toasties in Feeling Plus are above RM20, but worth the price you pay for as ingredients are of good quality, just the right portion to have you feel full after down with a cuppa. Went alone, tried Miso Chicken & Pumpkin – poached chicken, miso mayo, coriander, cheddar, and pretzels. Was told that pumpkin puree wasn’t available that day, but is ok. Overall, love the toast.

Open Toasts like Smashed pumpkins on sourdough toast with onion mousse, crispy enoki and cauliflower; Smoked salmon on sourdough with yogurt, pickled cucumber, capers, poached egg and sumac are recommended options too. In case you do not feel like having a sandwich on your visit, you might want to check out Chai Granola Bowl, Feeling+ French Toast, basic sourdough with butter, creamy tomato soup.

Coffee, Genmaicha Hanafubuki Tea, Matcha Latte, Hojicha Latte, Valrhona Chocolate sum up the beverage list.

Another plus point for Feeling Plus – it is located within walking distance from MRT Semantan. Convenient location, beyond for corporate offices, education academy nearby.
