Smoked Salmon and Prawn Salad with Tomato Tart, Lemon Chive Vinaigrette
The Christmas Set starts with Smoked Salmon and Prawn Salad with Tomato Tart, Lemon Chive Vinaigrette. The later is creatively presented, having tomato, garlic and cheese sandwiched between biscuit-like tart, crowned with two huge prawns. Full in texture, as you will expect to munch in crispy biscuit moistured by juiciness of tomato, followed by playful bounciness of prawns with a garlicky touch.
Cream of Pumpkin Soup
Continues with Cream of Pumpkin Soup, a very soothing comfort dish to the palate. The first try gives a sweet sensation. As you swirl in the dollop of white colour sour cream, savoy rinses comes in as it balanced up with pumpkin sweetness. Surprise is found hidden beneath- smooth pumpkin purée that adds on earthy creaminess.
Minted Watermelon Sorbet
Clean the palate with Minted Watermelon Sorbet, a small scoop of palate cleanser that arrives in tall glass, packed with minty freshness that has put the flavours of watermelon into the back seat. But no worries, as they works well together to place your palate to a refreshing state before the mains.
Slow Roasted Lamb Shank with Rosemary Jus Parmesan Polenta and Grilled Baby Vegetables
For mains, look for an options among Roast Christmas Turkey served with Bacon Wrapped Sage and Onion Stuffing, Roasted Potatoes, Buttered Brusels Sprouts and Carrots, Cramberry and Apple Sauce; Slow Roasted Lamb Shank with Rosemary Jus Parmesan Polenta and Grilled Baby Vegetables; or Pan Seared Cod with Potato and Leek Mash, Wild Mushrooms, Cured Cherry Tomato and Olive Tart and Saffron Nage.
Roast Christmas Turkey, one of the great choices to celebrate with Christmas. Carefully roasted to a beautiful browned surface, smoky with light hint of spices. Meat is rather tough and fall short of taste, but the shower of cranberry and apple sauce does their job, adding fruity, robust flavours to liven up the flavours and texture.
For fish lovers, do go for the pan seared cod with Potato and Leek Mash, Wild Mushrooms, Cured Cherry Tomato and Olive Tart and Saffron Nage. Portion is hearty, fish is soft and moist, loaded with with goodness of fat. The Cured Cherry Tomato and Olive Tart is interesting, having whole honey tomato and olive nestled within a soft baked tart. The whole combination seems unusual, but turn out to be uniquely good, burst with juiciness of olive.
Dessert is Chestnut Mille Feuille and Christmas pudding, a pairing of new innovation with traditional Christmas must have. Christmas Pudding is infused with orange flavours, creamy and dried fruits loaded, great with Cinammon Ice Cream. Chestnut Mille Feuille is good too, spongy soft with a mild sweetness. Finally, get a cup of coffee or Tea; Christmas Petit Four, and ends the Christmas meal with a smile.
