Dynasty’s Treasure Pot of Prosperity 如意吉祥盆菜 RM428nett/5pax
Treasure Pot of Poon Choi is must-have, also a big hit during Chinese New Year. We’ve been liking Dynasty restaurant’s poon choy for years, as they use really fresh ingredients, plus their sauce is more thin but packed with flavours, not cloying at all. Whole sun-dried scallop, fish maw, stuffed dried oyster, fresh scallop, flower mushroom, fu kwei abalone, farm chicken, roasted duck, money bag, sea cucumber, roasted pork, vegetable, tiger prawns, fish stomach, coral clam and fungi mushroom are”treasures” beautifully layered up in the claypot this year. So happy to see roasted pork!
Salmon Yee Sang 鮭魚七彩鴻運撈生
For Yee Sang, choices this year feature a colourful mix of raw fish and other seafood served with vegetables, crackers and condiments that deliver plenty of textures. There are 6 types of Yee Sang available – Salmon, Fruity Fiesta, Jellyfish, Lobster & Salmon, Yee Sang of 5 Treasures and Mino Abalone & Salmon. Steamed Live Tiger Dragon Grouper with Scallion and Ginger 鼓皇蒸籠虎斑
Apart from Yee Sang, Chef Kok has also created a 6-course and 7-course set menu for 2 pax at RM288++ and RM498nett; 9-course set menu at RM1088nett for 6 pax; 9-course set menu for 10pax starting from RM1688nett, and a variety of Treasure Pot Set from RM428nett, suitable for 5 pax.
Ying Yang Scallop Soup with Dried Seafood 帶子金瑤海味湯
Soup is thick in consistency, texture added with dried scallops, sea cucumber, crab meat, mushroom and tofu. Tummy warming, and quite filling as well so suggest to take moderately as there’s a lot more good food lining up after this!

Fortune Combination Platter – A dish that we look forward to every time when dining in Dynasty Restaurant with special Chinese occasion, because this platter put together few varieties of dim sum-style hot appetizer which never fail to disappoint us. This time lovely as usual, especially the Golden Bag which filled up chopped meat and vegetable in tofu bag!
Braised Pork Knuckle with Mushroom & Sea Cucumber 紅燒花菇海參豬手
Finally a non-halal dish for our Chinese New Year meal. Pork knuckle, braised till soft to achieve fork tender meat with nice golden brown, gelatinous skin, further dressed in a bed of gravy, sided with mushroom.Sinful but never say no to this gourgeous dish. To us, the skin comes first!
Golden Prawns with Spicy Minced Garlic 黃金沙大蝦
Golden prawns is a more classic but well-loved by Chinese during Chinese New Year, as the word “prawn” symbolizes ” laugh a lot” when translated in Cantonese. Fresh and bouncy aside, the crispy minced garlic laced with light spiciness clocks in well in levelling up the overall flavours of an ordinary dish.
Wok Fried Glutinous Rice with Assorted Waxed Meat 生炒臘味糯米飯
We were actually quite full when Wok Fried Glutionous Rice with Assorted Waxed Meat was served, but it was so good that we ended up having two small bowls of this. Glutinous rice is cooked to right chewy texture, awesome when pairing up with lap cheong.

Dynasty’s Fortune Pastries賀年糕點
Our meal ended with two desserts, a chilled sweet soup and Dynasty handmade pastries. The crowd attention laid on the charming sweet treat in the shape of strawberry and pumpkin, filled with red bean paste. But the nian gao wasn’t shadow too, great in texture, not too sweet.
