Motorino Genting SkyAvenue: New York City Best Italian Pizza Now in Malaysia

Motorino Pizzeria, a Brooklyn and East Village pizza place which being titled as the best authentic Neopolitan Italian pizza restaurant in New York by New York Times food writers, has finally opened its door in SkyAvenue, Genting Highlands, Malaysia.

Definitely a proud opening for Resorts World Genting Malaysia and Motorino establishment, as this is one of the largest Motorino outlets comparing to Motorino Singapore and Hong Kong, both space-constrained countries.

Covering 4000 sq ft space with a facade featuring gold-bordered Italian windows in Sky Avenue, Motorino Malaysia keeps to the original design ethic of the American outlets. 1920s metal chairs in burgundy, white marble table tops and elements that showcase the look of refurbished old-space with little intervention.

If you were here, spot the two large pizza ovens imported from Naples in Italy, burning hot to about 800-900 degree Celsius to bake the best Italian pizza. Motorino highlights on opened-kitchen concept, so diners will be able to watch the entire process of making these famous pizza.

Motorino menu offers 9 types of pizza flavours with over 20 additional toppings – onions, olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, brussels sprouts, beef pepperoni, chicken sausage, roasted peppers, clams, buffalo mozzarella cheese, fresh arugula, cured anchovy, served in 12 inch pizzas at reasonable price.

For tomato sauce base pizza, opt for Marinara Pizza, Margherita Pizza, Meatball Pizza, Amatriciana Pizza, Beef Pepperoni Pizza and Del Popolo. For others, pick from Arugula & Bresaola Pizza with air-dried beef, mozzarella and parmesan topping; Heirloom Tomato Pizza in sliced heirloom tomato, mozzarella and basil; Cherry Stone Clam with mozzarella, oreganata butter, parsley topping.

Soft and chewy pizza base, minimally topped with careful balanced among ingredients, cheese, sauce and crust, baked in small mouth and low dome super hot oven that gets pizza cooked within 60-90 seconds – this is how Pizza Napoletana, or Neapolitan Pizza should be like.
