Take A Bow Bangsar, New Concept by Thirdwave

Take A Bow, a cafe in Bangsar South proudly presented by the team behind Sunbather Coffee, a new concept that also pays homage to Thirdwave Cafe – which was once located in Nexus Bangsar South. Spot the tagline that comes along, as well as some of the furniture here. They do bring nostalgia, if you used to be a customer in Thirdwave.

We spotted this cafe while running errands in Bangsar South last week. We first got attracted to the “lush green rooftop”, because we were coming from the first floor, through the escalator. Take a Bow is just right beside it, opposite to Sunbather Coffee. Thoughtfully designed space, spacious and aesthetic. Modern contemporary style, wooden elements for most of the partitions, walls, cabinets, adorned with green plants, books and Take A Bow’s very own merchandise. Love the overall ambience.

Glad that the cafe wasn’t full house when we walked in around 4PM. So we get to have one of the outdoor seats, very Instagram worthy spot especially when there’s sunlight.

Didn’t go for any hot food as it was nearly dinner. But they open as early as 8AM till late, so breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea time or dinner, this dining destination fits well. Take A Bow menu offers substantial brunch mains such as Turkish Eggs, Banh Mi on Avo, Egg Benedict, Posh McMuffin (this sounds delicious with Jamaican jerk chicken patty, chilli jam, fried egg, American cheese, English muffin, Farmhouse Platter, and English Fry-up during soft launch period. Hearty mains seem noteworthy too with Thai fried chicken laab, fried egg, pickled cucumber, long grain rice; Chicken Schnitzel topped with salsa verde and potato salad; Swedish meatballs with mash, long beans and rosella jam; Arugula pesto fried rice with avocado & poached egg, Marmite mushroom carbonara, Tahini Mafaldine with hand-pulled shredded chicken. Creative twist to the classics. Would definitely return and check them out.

While for dessert, Salted Honey PIe with Cinnamon Ice Cream, Chestnut Basque Cheesecake, Pistachio Basque Cheesecake are taking centerstage. Beverage menu covers specialty coffee using freshly roasted beans in small batches, Einspanner (Viennese coffee), Honeycomb Coffee, Dirty Chai Latte, Chocolate (*75% Tanzania Dark Chocolate), Ice Blended Avocado Pistachio. And oh-wow, they have Vegan Milk Blends too!

Apart from that, another meaningful message that Take A Bow would like to highlight is – Celebrate the tiny victories. “We are here to applaud the unsung hero in you.
