F by Buffalo Kitchens 1st Anniversary

“Happy 1 year old to F by Buffalo Kitchens..”

Thanks to F by Buffalo Kitchens for the invitation to their one -year -old celebration, but sadly to say, it was:

MESSY
&
UNORGANISED
My girl, being in Penang, took a 5 hour bus all the way from Penang back to KL last Saturday, just to join in the celebration of F by Buffalo Kitchens birthday. We looked forward to this celebration party but ended up getting so disappointed.

” We are not closed for dumb, we are closed for private function”
Interesting huh? More interesting stuff following soon.

We reached there about 7.40pm, and the placed was already crowded. We spotted a place at the far end of the restaurant and quickly sat down. It was a six person tables. But the place was so in the end that we felt that we were so invisible sitting there. We did not get any food served to us after some time but everyone around us was happily chatting and enjoying the finger food served by those waiters.

So my girl looked around and she saw there is an empty two persons table at the other corner. So we moved and was glad that some finger food was served to us soon after we sat down.

After second helping of bruschetta, one waitress came to us and said:

“I AM SORRY, THIS PLACED IS RESERVED.”

What?! Reserved? This is a party and she told me the table was reserved after I sat down for more than 10 minutes and gobbled down some food?!

Fine. Not wanting to ask further, we stood up and look for other sitting place. Too bad all tables were occupied. We saw another table at the open air area and when we just about to sit down, another waitress came to us and said:

“ EXCUSE ME, THIS PLACE IS RESERVED.”

@#$%^&*()*&%@$#$%@^%$^&@%$*@&$%^&*%$@^@^$%^&.

This was insane.

Table A was reserved, table B was reserved, and what the heck F by Buffalo Kitchen never put the “RESERVED” card as a notice?

PLEASE BE ORGANISED!! PUT A “RESERVED” note as a notice. I AM NOT THE WORM IN YOUR STOMACH AND HOW COULD I KNOW THAT THE TABLE IS RESERVED AND EVERYTHING YOU TOLD ME IS JUST : “The table is reserved sir”.

Buffalo Kitchens carries a big name in the kitchenware industry and this was the arrangement that it can provide. Such a shame.  A BIG SHAME.

We looked around again and there were really no more empty tables left. So we approached one of the waiters and told him about this matter. He apologized to us and said the only seat he could find is the crampy area at the bar. He was already kind enough to find us a sit among the crowd, compared to the two waitresses. So we thanked him and get into place.

We made ourself calm down and started taking photos to relief our anger.
We were not sure whether this lady was the senior staff of this restaurant but she got 90% look alike with one of our university students. Maybe she was indeed her sister. Haha.
F’ Cocktails
Iced Lemon Tea
Carlsberg
White Wine
Red Wine
Below was some of the foods we taken during the function.
Plate for kids? Didn’t they have better looking plates? I saw everyone in the party holding blue, red, yellow etc . plastic plate. We think we would prefer a paper plate instead even though I know it is not environmental friendly.
The better one we had that night. Pizza with sausages, topped with ample of cheese.
The miserable strawberry tart and kiwi tart as dessert. Or I should say, strawberry topped tart and kiwi topper tart?
We got this after asking from one of the waitress. They did not even bother to serve us the last dessert.
My girl was so fed up staying back at the place and she ask if we could leave and get any other place to fill the half-filled stomach. She said even a roadside mamak stall burger fared better than this party’s food.
********
When we got back. We saw this notice in F by buffalo kitchens Facaebook page.
Free seatings?
Very funny.
All in all, I did not blame F by Buffalo Kitchens for the bad service, the problem comes from the two waitress. The waiter that found us a seat on the other hand, deserved a pad on his shoulder. I had been seeing him busy all night long, getting food for customers, washing glasses, refilling ice and so on.

I hope that F by Buffalo can really look in to the matter and hire waiter/waitress with good manners. And another thing is, please be organized if you are really sincere in inviting your customers. Don’t invite just for the sake of inviting without considering many other aspects. The party is not just about food and drinks.  Please respect your invitees as they are all your future customers. It is not worth for F by Buffalo Kitchen’s reputation to get damaged just because of some flippant waitresses. Unless you choose to drawn customers away.

We made a good post of F by Buffalo Kitchens and thought of visiting again. But now, no more, we do not even want to step back to this place as I do not want to dine in a place that provide good food and great coffee, but bad customer service and arrogant waitresses.
