Poco Zakka & Kitchen @ Sunway Giza Mall

January 4, 2012 by summerkid_summergirl

Poco Zakka & Kitchen has laid a new footmark in Sunway Giza Shopping Mall, after their first outlet in Bangsar. Opening from 11am to 11pm daily, Poco in Sunway Giza continues to serve their customers with awesome Japanese food in a cozy Japanese vintage style environment. Stepping into Poco, you can see that every corner of the place is decently decorated, humble yet unique that you will definitely fall in love with.

Besides serving food, Poco also sells some handmade dolls, gift cards, small note books, postcards, necklace,  shirts, bags, etc. etc.
Too cute? Buy them home and put by your bed side.
Cute to the maXX..

They are made from…SOCKS? =)

Fairy Tale. (RM7.90)
medium thick and not too sweet, this mango and ice cream combo milksake makes every sipping heavenly with no minus of refreshing taste. However, it turned a little too diluted towards the end, probably due to the extra ice added.
With all these cute hand crafted dolls, cards, and accesorries, it is a little unmatch that Poco actually serves Japanese cuisine. But who cares, as Poco Zakka can beautify both of them well. Sushi, teriyaki, udon, don, set meal, make your choice.
Curry Chicken Katsu. (RM16.90)
The chicken katsu is crispy outside with not so meaty chicken layer. A tad too dry but good that it is not oily and serves pipping hot. Curry is generously ladled, thick, smooth but a little starchy, make it taste likes spicy potato gravy.
Curry Fried Ebi Katsu. (RM19.90)
Fried ebi was beautifully aligned on the bed of rice while serving to us. Crunchy outside, with juiciness retained in the prawn though being deep fried, signifying a good frying timing. Again, it is not oily at all. Double thumbs up for the prawn, but the portion can be bigger.
Comfy and tranquil, I’ll rate it as a good place to relax and sip a cup of tea with some homemade cake. Come to Poco Zakka, if you want to stay away from the hustle in city.
