Frontera Sol Of Mexico @ Jaya One (Invited Review)

April 14, 2012 by summerkid_summergirl

Authentic Korean food, Japanese food, Taiwanese food etc. are seem mushrooming around these years but how about authentic Mexican food? No idea? Well, there is one restaurant named Frontera Sol of Mexico located in the heart of Jaya One serving delicious Mexicon food, a taste that is rarely found in Selangor and KL. Visiting Frontera one Tuesday and came across their Tacos Tuesday, a themed buffet where a wide selection of tacos are served to filled the stomach of tacos lovers. Either you are a beef lover, chicken lover, seafood lover, or vege lover, you get your choice available in Frontera.
Before starting off with the mains, we had the Chipotle and Mushroom soup to warm up the tummy.
Chipotle and Mushroom Soup
The soup is mildly spicy, but the overall tastes is indescribable. The closest taste for this soup will be Maggi noodles’s soup. It is authentic but I guess I need some time to appreciate the goodness of Mexican food.
Coming to the all-you-can-eat taco feast, we savored out a few flavours of tacos.
From top left: Grilled Vegetable, Ranchero Chicken and Frontera Chicken.

Besides having tacos, there is also few side dishes available from the menu.
Potato Fries (RM6)
I am surprise to taste such a delicious fresh cut potato fries from a Mexican restaurant. Served immediately, the fries is hot and crispy and I just couldn’t stop my hand from keep tucking down this little snack.
Mexican rice(RM6), Picco de Gallo(RM6) and sauces.
This colourful rice has a smoky, garlic and onion laden flavor, which tastes really special and different from any other fried rice we have had. Picco de Gallo, is appetizing with juicy tomato cubes as base.
Mashed potato (RM6)
The mashed pototo was smooth and creamy, lightly seasoned with pepper and added with mushroom bits to top up the texture.
Side Salad (RM6)
Iceberg vegetables, tomatos, cucumber and shredded salad with thousand island sauce. A truly healthy plate of greens to divert your greediness towards the delicious tacos.
Overall, Spoil yourself to the all-you-can-eat tacos buffet at Frontera every Tuesday, starting from 6pm with the price of RM50++. And not to forget you will entitled a 50% discount if you make reservation through Frontera’s facebook or TableFour.Us
