Imagine you open the door, take a step forward and everything in front of you appears in pink and white, very princess, very fairy tale. What if I told you this imagination do appears in real life, and a place having this is a restaurant? Yeap, this restaurant is called Little Pantry, and it is located in IOI Mall Puchong, opposite to Wendy’s. This restaurant brings in a concept that allows customers to dine in a place surrounding with fairy tale atmosphere. All waitresses are dressed in maids and are all professionally trained. Main specialities of the restaurant are Western cuisines, but they offer very nice Asian cuisines as well. I am glad to be given the opportunity to dine in there one Sunday afternoon.

Wild Mushroom Soup (RM9.90)
The meal started with Wild Mushroom Soup as starter. The soup is blend with various types of fresh wild mushrooms, giving a real taste of mushroom bits in every spoonful. It is added with a touch of cream for a milkier taste.

Portabelo Mushroom Salad (RM12.90)

Portabelo Mushroom Salad comes next, where the greens and grilled potato are tossed with balsamic vinegar. There is a large sliced mushroom sitting beautifully on top of the salad, which we actually wonder what it is initially. The mushroom is imported, and it tastes so fresh, so juicy. The whole plate is definitely a good portion of salad that is different from your usual salad.

Tomato Bruschetta (RM9.90)

Other than soup and salad, tomato bruschetta is also served. The bread is spread with butter and garlic, then toasted till crispy and golden brown before topping with chopped rice plum tomatoes with basil, black pepper and olive oil. The extra efforts taken in preparing the tomato bruschetta make this starter takes on the aroma of butter and garlic, and juiciness from tomatoes, giving a double layer sensation.

Pan Seared Chicken Chop (RM18.90)

Pan Seared Chicken Chop is the first main course on the day. The dish comes with a large piece of pan seared chicken thigh sitting on a bed of French fries, and drenched in mushroom sauce. It is sided with some healthy greens. The chicken has some charred surface, giving a smoky sensation. The chicken is good enough to be eaten alone, but the mushroom sauce makes a good combination with it too, and is ideal for those who like to have chicken with sauce.

Andrew Special (Seasonal Price)
Andrew Special, a name that you can hardly figure out what is the content of the dish. As special as it is named, this dish is actually chicken roll stuffed with mango, topped with cheese and ladled with mushroom sauce. You might wonder how mango tastes like with chicken. You got to try it out yourself to clear the doubt. Actually, the sweetness from mango, saltiness from cheese, and flavorfulness from the chicken do make a harmony combination to each other.

Pan Seared Air Flown Norweigian Salmon (RM26.90)
Fish lovers, make your tummy happy with their Pan Seared Air Flown Norweigian Salmon. The dish comes with a large piece of lightly pan seared salmon nestled on a bed of sauté vegetables. The salmon is fresh, but the texture is a little too tough for me. Have it along with the sided mashed potato and sauté vegetables, your meal are complete, healthy and wholesome.

Nasi Bojari (RM18.00)
For those who can’t live without rice, do try out their Nasi Bojari, a traditional dish hails from Indonesia. What makes this dish special is, instead of normal white rice, this dish used coloured mixed briyani rice. The fluffy rice is served together with fried chicken, sambal with prawns and calamari. You got half a salted egg yolk by the side too!

Get the Penang most famous delights in Little Pantry at less than RM10.00! For RM9.90, you got a plate of fried koay teow cooked with cockles, prawns, egg and bean sprouts in large portion. Cream Brulle (RM12.90)
Light and soft at the bottom and nicely caramelized on top, the crème brulle makes a good dessert for those who prefer a mild sweetness.

Peach and Apple Crumble (RM12.90)
More desserts! And it is my girl’s favourite, the peach and apple crumble. The dessert looks elegant, where vanilla sauce, chocolate sauce, peach and apple crumble are beautifully layering one after another in the glass. The sauces are instantly melted in mouth, making a perfect conflict with the peach and apple crumble which in good texture. So sinfully delicious.

Tiramisu in Martini Glass (RM14.90)
Other than petite four cake, they also served tiramisu is martini glass. Their tiramisu is soft and creamy, with a hint of sweet bitterness created by the dark chocolate and Espresso Coffee.
