If you are a person who loves organic products, Haven Cafe will be a place you should pay a visit to. This cafe is a green space that pampers you with organic, wholesome, delicious food and drinks, followed by extensive choices of organic groceries, baby products and skin care products that you can shop on after the meal. Not to forget is their freshly baked bread and aromatic coffee which is done the way it should be.
It is named Haven Cafe, but is more than just a cafe.
The cafe is located along Ampang Hilir, a street which is nestled with many embassy offices. It can be easily overlooked as you drive along the street, but this white colour cottage-style building with a greeny garden deserved a second finding if you missed it out in the first find.
Once stepping into the cafe, one can feels the tranquility offered in the cafe, with French windows welcoming ample of natural lights and green scenery from outside the cafe.
The interior is rather cozy, with modern and clean design comprises of wooden tables and chairs.
The cafe is divided into a few sections:
coffee by RAW Coffee
groceries by
Little Green Planet
beauty & skincare products by Bodybar
spa treatments by Organique Therapies
mom & baby products by Tiny Tapir
We are interested with their food, but coffee is our main target during our first visit there last Saturday, so we ordered nothing but only two cups of coffee.
Haven Cafe served RAW coffee, the first specialty coffee roastery and cafe in Malaysia. RAW coffee brings in the best beans from all over the world and expertly roast them to get all the flavors a coffee is supposed to have, with best equipment and trained baristas.Their baristas then expertly grind the benas to get the best espresso pour out of the Kees van der Western “Speedster” (the first in Malaysia) and stream the milk to perfection so that you get the best cup possible.
Cappuccino
(RM10)
Mocha
(RM10)
Both of our cappuccino and mocha were good, with smooth and nice frothed milk.
We sit back, relax, and enjoyed the greeny landscape surronding the cafe while sipping the good cuppa of coffee. When the bill came, we expected it to come with government tax and service charge. But no, it didn’t. We paid only RM20 for our coffee, and this had urged us to come back again for another cup of coffee with delicious organic meal.
