Nosh @ Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar [CLOSED DOWN]

January 10, 2013 by summerkid_summergirl

Open up the dusted dictionary. Check for “nosh”.
Noun: Food
Verb: Eat food enthusiastically or greedily
What else it can be.
Something, but related to food.
Yes, it can also refer to a newly opened restaurant in Bangsar – NOSH.
And why is it named so? Simple. Because of the passion for food.
Armed with impressive experience in the business and the love for food, Ann Lee and Judith Sakata brings the born of NOSH at Bangsar, Jalan Telawi, with the aims to bring delicious satisfaction to diners in a clean, simple and homey ambience.
Opening up the menu, you don’t find extensive choices. There’s only handful entrees, soup, mains, fusion and dessert to choose from, but all are of finest collection by NOSH. Each dish presented is an experience, a story and journey the two owners have sampled and learned from some of the world’s finest.
 Roasted Percik (RM29.00)
Asian delights with Middle East staple food – A whole chicken thigh served over a bed of herb tossed cous cous, showered with percik sauce and sided with tangy salad.
The chicken is well done, tender and flavourful with smoky sensation. The nutty sauce plays their part too, giving a hint of spiciness to trigger the taste buds. Combination with cous cous instead of white rice makes this dish speaks more uniquely for herself.
But to compare this with night market ayam percik which is done over high heat charcoal, accompanied by the aroma and heat, I would say that I prefer the later. However, if you want to have decent ayam percik in a comfortable environment, NOSH is the place you should look for.
 Pollo Nel Curry (RM22.00)
Called this chicken pasta with curry sauce. The homemade strozzapreti has a firm bite, mingle wonderfully with the thick, creamy and mildly spicy curry sauce. Enjoy the pasta with chicken, potato and carrot cubes. A good curry is not just about spiciness, taste this pasta to know it.
Definitely a good place for gathering, or to enjoy a quality dining experience.
