After the visit to St. Andrew Cathedral, the sky was still gloomy with small rain, so we skipped the city tour and headed straight to Sentosa. From City Hall station, we boarded MRT to Dhoby Ghaut interchange (NS24/NE6, CC1) and then arrived at HarbourFront (NE1/ CC29). This is the stop to Vivocity, the largest shopping mall in Singapore. Here, you can board a train, cable car and bus to Sentosa. Or you can choose to walk into the island by foot using Sentosa Boardwalk.

We chose the method ” walk to Sentosa”. Sounded crazy but not at all. To save the time, we headed to enquiry kiosk and ask for the way to Sentosa Broadwalk.

“Hai. May I know which way to go Sentosa Boardwalk?”
” Sentosa Boardwalk?”
” Yes.”
” Are you sure?”
” Yes.”
” It takes 45 minutes you know? Are you sure you want to walk?”
” So… Can you show me the way?”
” …. ” Turn left and walk straight, you will see the boardwalk outside”

Hmm…..we didn’t seem like healthy persons who can walk? Or we have a lazy look who only board trains and minimize walking? Anyway, the ‘walking distance” wasn’t that far. In fact, it only took us about 25 minutes to reach the island, including all the camhoring, jumping, skipping and admiring of the nice seaview.

Another 545m to go!

Actually, along the way, there’s escalator to “assist” our walking journey. So we didn’t really have to walk. We were so excited as vivocity was getting further, and all buildings in Sentosa were getting bigger in eyes! Another few hundred metres and we would be there!
