Upon entering, patrons will be greeted by an imposing floor to ceiling wall of candles, seperating the bar and the restaurant area, and a very high vertical garden completed with two large changeliers made of glass bottles. Divided into two seperate levels, the casual dining area seats approximately 160 patrons, while the upper floor can occupy 60 intimately, with two exclusive private dining room.

The modern environment with a touch of luxury within comfort may cause patrons to step back from visiting, having misconception that the price will be expensive. But as you flip through the menu, you will realize that there aren’t. In fact, for the environment and quality of food, they are worth the price you pay.

blu-med-salad

Blu Med Salad (RM29.00)
Blanched seafood of mussels, prawns, squid and fresh greens tossed with zesty apple vinaigrette dressing that tickle the taste bud. Pleasant in colours, plentiful in texture, good in flavours. Healthy appetizer.

lamb-patty-with-spicy-tomato-sauce

Lamb Patty with Spicy Tomato Sauce (RM16)
A combination of minced lamb mixed with onion, carrot and parsley, then pan seared to lock the juiciness within. Pleasant soft chewiness that complement well with Arabiatta sauce that carries a spicy kick to whet up the appetite, as well as toning down the gamey taste.

blu-med-fish-chip

Blu Med Fish & Chips (RM28.00)
Judging from the crispiness and thickness, obviously their fish & chips is made in house and not source from the frozen department in hypermarket. The fish itself is soft and fleshy, encasing by a thin layer of batter. Not extra crispy crackling but you know that you safe eating fresh and more healthier fish & chips compared to the frozen type. Served along with cajun flavoured potato wedges, lemon and basil mayonaise.

quattro-formaggi

Quattro Formaggi (RM48.00)
If you were in Blu Med, we highly recommend you to try out this dish. Price may be a little steep, but you won’t regret ordering this. Comprises of thin and chewy crust generously topped over with four type of cheese- Mozzarella, Taleggio, Gorgonzola( Blue Cheese), and Parmesan Cheese, the pizza itself is cheesy delicious. What makes it special is the additional of honey sauce drizzled over, gracefully turn the pizza into a marvellous savoury and sweet pairing. So good that we can’t stop our hand to grab for a second and third piece once tucking in.

spaghetti-vongole-bianco

Spaghetti Vongole Bianco (RM25)
Italian favourite tossed with Littleneck clams and addded with a touch of white wine and topped with shredded chilli to enhance the overall flavours and colours. A taste of luxiurious in simplicity, mild with subtle fragrance of white wine.

spaghetti-squid-ink

Spaghetti Squid Ink (RM30)
A glorious dish with unique squid ink sauce infused spaghetti, made tastier with an arrray of squids, cherry tomatoes, mussels and clams to deliver plentiful of texture. Thumbs up for the squid ink does not blacken our teeth as many squid ink pasta does.

ahillo-of-prawn

Ajillo of Prawns (RM25.00)
Being skeptical on the amount of oil drowning the prawns, surprises followed up as we have a taste on it. Cooked with fresh parsley and olive oil, the bed of yellowish liquid is so aromatic, heavenly with the bouncy garlic prawn. The girl said: I can drink the oil. Lovely.

chocolate-banana-parfait

Chocolate Banana Parfait (RM19.00)
A distinctive dessert that layers diced chocolate cake, sliced banana, chocolate chip, vanilla and chocolate ice cream together to give a smooth, creamy, chocolaty and icy cold sensation, added with a mild fragrance of banana that pairs really well with chocolate.

rare-cheese-cake

Rare Cheese Cake (RM18.00)
A non-baked cheese with a nice swirl of berry sauce on top, served along with strawbeery sauce. Very dense and creamy but the cheese flavour is too heavy for us to take in, so have it long with the crumbly base and strawberry sauce will fix the dilemma.

Sangria carafe 1

Sangria (RM28/glass)
A special concoction by Blu Med. Combining Tequila, monin, passion fruit, sprite and white wine, the drinks renders a faint hint of alcohol with fizzy sensation.
