Balik Kampung Buffet @ JP Teres, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

 From 30th June 2014 till 25th July 2014, enjoy festive and traditional flavours at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s JP Teres restaurant with their “Balik Kampung” buffet dinner promotion that runs from 7pm till 10pm daily.

Priced at RM148.00 per adult and RM74.00 per child, the buffet offers diners a wide selection of Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines, inclusive of unlimited chilled juices, kedondong, barley, teh tarik and other local beverage.

Begin the meal with assorted kerabu, salads and appetizers including Rojak Buah, Tauhu Sumbat, Ulam-ulaman with Sambal Belacan, Acar Jelatah, Acar Buah, Kerabu Manga dengan Sotong, Kerabu Daging, Kerabu Udang, Kerabu Daun Selun, Tandoori Bharwan Aloo, Kachumbar Salad, Makai Salad, Chicken Salad Chinese Style, and Tofu Salad. Crackers such as keropok ikan, keropok udang, papadam, lijat, kerepek pisang and kerepek ubi also makes presence in the buffet.

Get a serving of Roasted Whole Lamb Percik Style to serve over a bed a fluffy, flavourful briyani rice; and pair them with famous Malay favourite- Sup Ekor, as well as Bubur Lambok.

Malay Hot selection brings diners Ayam Goreng Berempah Sri Hyatt, Ikan Merah Goreng Berlada, Telur Itik Masak Lemak dan Belimbing, Kepah Masak Lada Hitam, Sayur Lodeh Kering and Ayam Masak Ros.

Chinese Hot Selection is our favourite, satisfying the tastebud with Ayam Mayonnaise with Thai Sos, Ikan Tenggari Masak Tau Choo, Kailan with Ikan Masin, Mee Hoon Goreng and Soton with Oat.

Continue to pile the plate with Lamb Curry, Fish Amritsary, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vindi Do Pyaz, Dhall Tadka, Paneer Makhani and Nasi Briyani from the Indian Hot Selection. As usual, Summergirl drops a ladle of Paneer Makhani onto her place. This is her must have whenever it is available at the Indian counter in a buffet.

Choices are further extended at the outdoor section, offering a selection of Indian Bread, Rojak, Ayam Tandoori, Udang Tandoori, Kebabs, and Talapia Merah.

Tuck into sticky sweet, lovely satay with Lemang, Ketupat Palas, Rice Cake, Serunding Daging, Serunding Ayam and Rendang Ayam Kampong.

Roti Canai, Murtabak with Chicken or Beef, Curry Chicken, Sambal Ikan Bilis,  and JP Teres Popiah Basah also make ways into the buffet list.

JP Teres Chicken Rice
One of the signature food from Chinese counter, featuring steamed chicken or roasted chicken with fragrant rice. The rice is exceptionally delicious, bursting with aroma.

Feast on more than enough noodle choices including Wanton Mee Soup, Assam Laksa Johor, Prawn Mee sup, Curry Laksa, Keow Teow Ipoh.

Customized your noodles into more plentiful version with Yong Tau Foo, a Chinese favourite that has bouncy fishpaste stuffed into ingredients like bencurdskin, chilli, eggplant, bitter guord and more.

Leave some room for dessert, which highlighting Ice Cream on Bread, Pandan Chiffon with kaya and mango comport, Sarawak Layar Cake, Black Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk, cendol with coconut milk and palm sudar and mango pudding.
