Delicious @ Bangsar Village II, Kuala Lumpur

While Delicious started humbly just as a cozy tearoom in 1 Utama Shopping Centre a decade ago with just few items on the menu, their delicious wholesome food has earned them recognition, and sprouted more outlets in no time.

This E&O group owned cafe cum restaurant has a total of seven outlets in KL and Klang Valley, as well as Singapore. You can find them at Bangsar Village II, Mid Valley Megamall, One Utama, Setia City Mall, St. Mary Place KL, Sunway Pyramid and Scott Square Singapore.

Delicious Cafe menu is blossomed with wide range of mouth-watering delights that cover from local to Western favourite, suitable for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, supper or just tea time. And this make the cafe’s menu goes parallel with their tagline – “pasta, salads, cakes & more….”

Pumpkin Soup RM13.90
We were there at Delicious Bangsar Village II with a group of friends last week for dinner, and start the meal with Pumpkin Soup, a vegetarian friendly soup that hightlights a creamy, sandy texture of pumpkin instead of pure smoothness. Garnished with Parmesan cheese, truffle oil, and croutons.

Mushroom Soup RM13.90
Continued to warm up the tummy with mushroom soup, a wholesome starter generously loaded with mushroom bits for extra aroma and texure. Served along with toasted garlic and rosemary focaccia. Vegetarian friendly too.

Crab and Avocado Salad RM29.90
Crab and Avocado Salad brings more than just clean and juicy munch of honey tomato, cos lettuce and avocado, thanks to the tossing of flavourful salad specially made in house, together with creamy crab paste that we mistakenly thought as tuna mayo.

Carbonara Mafaldine RM23.90
We rate this Carbonara Mafaldine priced at RM23.90 as reasonable, seeing that a huge portion of mafaldine is served, beautifully drenched in creamy, saucy carbonara sauce with poached egg, beef bacon, oyster mushrooms and parmesan cheese. Ideal for sharing.

Crispy Seadfood & Fries RM29.90
Spoilt yourself once in a while with their calories loaded Crispy Seafood & Fries, featuring battered and deep-fried-to-golden-brown salmon, prawns, squid and pollack towered up the plate, crunchy and addictive. Comes with fries, coleslaw and tartare sauce for dipping.

Teriyaki Salmon Steak RM37.90
Teriyaki Salmon Steak swirls in Japanese twist by landing fresh, flaky salmon steak on top of a bed soba noodles, pea sprouts and asparagus mingled with teriyaki sauce. Light and mild, but not short of flavours.

Lamb & Butternut Squash Massaman Curry RM25.90
Make a try on their Asian dishes if you were not in the mood for Western fares. Lamb & Buuternut Squash Massaman Curry fires up the tastebud with a rich and spicy gravy, deeply coated to the tender soft lamb chunks. A little gamey though. Goes well with steamed rice and cucumber peanut salad.

Delicious Club Sandwich RM26.90
Delicious Club Sandwich is more than just simple. Three layers of toasted bread, stuffed with thicly layer of grilled chicken breast, fried egg, turkey bacon and pesto sauce. Good, but you may need some chilli sauce to touch up the taste.

Coming to dessert, Delicious Cafe has an array of sweet treats to surprise. First, check out the Rasberry Macarons and Salted Caramel & Peanut Macarons, both appear in gigantic version. Children will definitely skip away happily with this.

Strawberry, Hazelnut & Lychee Pavlova RM13.90
Pavlova topped over with strawberry, hazelut and Lychee. We like that dark chocolate sauce is drizzled over the pavlova, lending more moisture and balance of sweetness to the entire dessert. Just, it will earns better marks if the base texture gets into softer, more airy version.

Strawberry & Passionfruit Eclair RM7.00 Each, RM17 for 3
Continue the sweet journey with Strawberry & Passionfruit Eclair, a soft pastry made from choux dough, blending in sharp, tangy flavours of strawberry and passionfruit.

Lemon Meringue Pie RM12.90
The last one on the table tonight-Lemon Meringue Pie, a baked pie filled with lemon custard, crowned over with torched, mellow soft meringue. We use “sweet and lemony” to sum up the overall taste.
