Antonio’s Trattoria Calabria @ TTDI, Kuala Lumpur

For the past decade, Antonio’s Trattoria Calabria at TTDI, Kuala Lumpur has been hosting countless events. Birthdays, graduations, homecomings, weddings, anniversaries, and festivals, all food that were churned out received positive feedback from guests.

But of course, this restaurant which specializes in authentic Italian fares, is also worth visiting for daily lunch and dinner. It is run by a family with great geographical diversity background, but all passionate about food. Hence, be it creamy pasta, homemade pizza or succulent steak, you can expect everything here is prepared will full passion from quality ingredients.

Mushroom Bruschetta RM18.00

Toasted baguette slices topped with sautéed mushrooms and oyster mushrooms cooked in rich, creamy sauce; garnished with Italian herbs.

Mozzarella in Carrozza RM18.00

Sink your teeth onto this pipping hot deep fried mozzarella sandwiches and experience crispiness at the top golden brown layer, followed by mellow soft bun and creamy, cheesy cheese flowing out from the center. Smother the sandwich with Pizzaroila sauce to get a tangy, tomatoish twist with spicy hint.

Gamberi Aglio e Olio RM32.00

Gamberi Aglio e Olio is pretty decent and hearty in portion, tossing spaghetti in olive oil with garlic, fresh basil and dried chillies for a spicy and garlicky goodness. Texture added with fresh, bouncy shrimps.

Quattro Stagioni RM32.00
Homemade pizza is a must try here- 10 inch, thin crust. Get the Quattro Stagioni if you want to enjoy more flavours in one go, as this classic Italian Four Season Pizza comes in plentiful toppings of beef pepperoni or chicken toast, mushrooms, olives, green capsicum and mozzarella cheese.

You can also “Make Your Own” (RM27.00) pizza, customizing your favourite toppings from a choice of tuna, beef pepperoni, chicken pepperoni, beef bacon, chicken toast, capsicum, eggplant, mushroom, zucchini. Additional topping RM3.50 each.

Grilled Salmon RM32.00
Out slice of grilled salmon tastes as good as it looks, flaky and moist, topped with garlic, butter and lemon sauce, served with a fresh tomato salad.

Tiramisu RM15.00
End the meal with this homemade traditional Italian dessert, showcasing espresso soaked lady fingers layered with sweet cream and accents of chocolate. Antonio’s tiramisu is alcohol free, and replacing mascarpone cheese with cream cheese hence you will get a creamier, denser sweetness from cheese layer.
