Again, it is time to celebrate togetherness and be thankful for bountiful harvests. This coming Mid-Autumn Festival, Hilton Kuala Lumpur brings you a variety of sweet delicacy, hand-crafted and freshly baked, right out of Chynna’s kitchen moon cakes.

Available from 30th June till 8th September 2014, Hilton KL’s mooncakes come in 11 choices, including traditional baked and creative snow skin. For the purist, there are options for traditional baked mooncakes with popular fillings such as Baked Lotus Paste, Baked Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Baked Pandan Paste with Single Yolk, Baked Red Bean Paste with Almond Flake, Baked White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Traditional style baked with Five Nuts, Baked Green Tea Paste with Pistachio Nuts.

For modern flavours, snow skin mooncakes appear to be innovative and unexpected, matching sweet and savoury ingredients beneath the chewy, elastic skin. Check out the Autumn Jade(Snow Skin Jade Pandan with Mandarin Orange, Parmesan Cheese-infused with Chocolate Soft Center), Blue Moon (Snow Skin Amaretto Lotus Paste with Blueberry Cheese Feuilantine), Flower Drum (Snow Skin Lotus Paste with Soft Custard Egg Yolk) and Heavenly Gold ( Snow Skin with Pure Premium Musang King Durian).

Autumn Jade is a must-try flavour introduced by Chef Lam, award winning Chynna’s Executive Chef. This brand new taste combines pandan and Parmesan cheese with mandarin orange infused chocolate soft centre, delivering an exciting infusion to the modern palate.

Heavenly Gold, the all time favourite durian mooncake is back by popular demand. Made using only fresh premium Musang King durian, the Heavenly Gold mooncake is so pure with blissful bites of durian filling, almost like eating real pulp of Musang King. We were told that only two Heavenly Gold mooncakes can be produced from one whole durian. So precious.

Apart from that, Blue Moon is also not to be missed. Blueberry Cheese Feuillantine is enveloped within Amaretto Lotus Paste, enticing the tastebud with more than just sweet sensation. Cheesy in the center, sticky sweet lotus paste followed by and balanced up in whole with chewy, baby blue skin.
