Seven Cups Coffee @ Empire Damansara PJ

Our visit to Seven Cups Café at Empire Damansara PJ is much more memorable compared with the bad service, ignorance staffs at Metalbox Cafe. At Seven Cups, everyone wears a smile, greets us politely and barista pours every cup of coffee with love and passion. Metalbox is way too commercialized, noisy, even though we agree that they serve decent food for breakfast, brunch as well as coffee.

Tuck away at the far end of this old castle-like building, Seven Cups drives a cozy and charming environment that makes us feel calm, relaxed once stepping in. Location doesn’t seem to be their pain point for not getting customers, as it is always fully occupied especially during weekend afternoon.

The entire coffee place is small, sits about 30 persons with minimal decoration to exude a clean, simple atmosphere. Angled wooden floor tiles, blue textured wall paint adorned by their two signature framed pictures- drawings of a girl in different emotions, cute and instagram-worthy.

Coffee bar and counter appears in light wooden tone, creating a scene of harmony with excellent natural lighting during the day. “Hello, Good Day” ! There is no way you will not like this humble café.

Seven Cups works with Nylon Coffee Roaster, a Singapore base coffee roaster who source and roast amazing coffee from around the world. Coffee here is straight forward, named in white and black, where black is without milk, white is with milk. Order in hot or cold according to your favourite.

Home-baked cakes and waffles sum up the food choices in Seven Cups. Hence, make sure to fill the tummy at other restaurants around the area before enjoying a good cup of coffee in this café. Staffs recommended us to have their Snickers Cheese Cake, an extra rich, dense and creamy cake loaded with nutty, chocolaty, caramel sweetness of Snickers. Great stuff.

Nice place. Will definitely return.
