WA Cafe @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur [CLOSED]

Located right beside Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Coffea Coffee, the new coffee joint which replaces the premise of MeetFresh 鮮芋仙 at 6th floor, WA Cafe seems to deserve more attention compare to this famous coffee place.

WA Cafe has been around Pavilion KL for quite a few years, humbly serving great coffee for coffee connoisseurs. Comparing to Coffea Coffee, it is rather quite when we pass by several times, but there is no way to deny their good coffee once you have a sip on it.

It is an opened-concept cafe, taking the idea of coffee shop in Japan. Masa Aoki san from Japan is the man behind WA Cafe, supervises, trains and guides all staffs in the cafe for a better understanding on coffee. He is more recognized as a travel barista, and we first knew him in Coffee Stain by Joseph. With more than 10 years of experience in coffee industry, he is now more than just a master barista, but also a coffee consultant, and proudly appointed as one of the judges for Malaysia Barista Championship.

No trace of savoury food in WA Cafe, but a long list of noteworthy espresso-based coffee, green tea, and coffee-infused dessert on the menu. One can either proceed to general coffee such as latte, mocha, flat white like us…

..or throw a try on more interesting choices such as Dirty (Cold Milk topped with a shot of espresso, allowing you to savour different layers of flavours as the espresso slowly “sink” down from the top to bottom); Matcha Affogato, Coffee & Caramel Affogato and Coffee Milkshake.

Dessert such as cheese cake, mille crepe, chocolate mousse cake are freshly available at the dessert counter, pairs well with WA Cafe velvety smooth coffee.

What else is new and to eat at Pavillion Shopping Mall in the year of 2015? FYI, the mall has opened up 7th floor Food Heaven, houses restaurants and Cafes such as Rocku (the 100 minutes Japanese Yakiniku buffet), Pigs & Wolf (by Three Little Pig & Big Bad Wolf), Serai, Village Roast Duck and opening soon The Counter (the famous burger joint that grand you the wish to customize your own burger), Al Halabi Restaurant and Starz Kitchen. Level 7 can be accessed by taking the escalator from TGI Fridays.
