Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches @ Seapark, PJ : Finger Licking Good Pork Ribs

Attention to all pork lovers! Visit Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches at Sea Park Petaling Jaya for one of the best pork ribs in town! Opening on 2nd May, Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches Restaurant is prides in serving pork ribs and porkilicious sandwich in a variety of flavours. We realized later that (*halfway during instragram #hashtag) when replacing “&” with “and”, the restaurant ‘s name become Ticklish Ribsandsandwiches. Creative. ‘Nuff said.

Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches pays serious attention in highlighting their dish focus, from colourful wall paintings of pigs at almost every corner of the restaurant to little sign like “Eat like a Pig”, “Vegans converted Inside” and “Seriously non-halal”.

BBQ Pork Ribs (RM38/6ribs, RM20/3ribs)

The must-order power pork ribs marinated in Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches special sauce, fired to perfection for enjoyable, finger licking good, crackling outside, tender inside ribs. Available in Spicy and Not Really (spicy) version.

We prefer the Not Really over Spicy, as the former is more intense with smoky sweetness of BBQ sauce, thickly coated to the succulent, meaty ribs. The later is good too, ideal for diners who wish to have spicy kick for their ribs.

Browsing through Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches menu, we first stunned at how to order, but after reading thoroughly, the menu is sum up to few section – pork ribs, sandwiches, side orders, and drinks. For ribs, there is only Spicy and Not Really. For sandwich, you can have ample of choices and the steps go this way:

Step 1: Choose your meat

You can have Lazy Bones (boneless BBQ pork meat) , You Braise Me Up (braised pork belly), Chew Bak Kwa (Dried Pork Meat), Pull Your Leg (pulled pork), Once you Go Back (sweet and salty lean pork), Ssshock Sendiri (battered lean pork), and Hoilam Ting (Hainanese pork chop). You Braise Me Up is worth ordering! Beautiful layers of lean and fat meat, soft, easily melt in the mouth.

Step 2: Choose your bread

Wholemeal, charcoal or white.

Step 3: Choose your add ons (optional)

We like stacking our sandwiches and burgers with different toppings for more flavours and textures. Here, you can have fried egg, cheese and caramelized onion. Suggest to add all, since these 3 seems to be the most essential toppings.

Get freaky fries, O.M.Garlic as extra side orders. Ticklish Ribs &’ Wiches Freaky Fries is freaking good, with freshly deep fried French fries topped with cheese and minced pork.

O.M. Garlic is unique, not commonly found in similar concept restaurants. You may enjoy popping one after another deep fried garlic cloves, lightly salted.

Oodles of Noodles RM12

Diners who are not into sandwich can look for the Need Your Carb? section. Currently there are only two selection- one spaghetti and one rice. Spaghetti can be better if less oily. Despite so we love the generous amount of minced meat to toss with the noodles.  The simple bolognese style with Ticklish twist.

Rive Vice RM12

Our favourite order besides Ticklish pork ribs! A bed of fluffy white rice, generously topped with deep fried bread pork cutlet in a bed of egg and caramelized onions. Like a Katsudon, but packed with more flavours, goes really well with rice. Highly recommended.

Beverage in Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches are limited to hot drinks such as Milo, coffee, Teh Tarik; bottomless soft drink and bottled alcoholic drinks including Heneikan, Stongbow, Smirnoff, Kirin and Guinness. Teh Tarik with Pork Ribs, anyone?
