Cafe 123Gasing at Lot.123 Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya calls for a cheerful and adorable environment that bring smiles right from the first glance, thoughtfully designed to reach for a space that is more than just industrial-like or modern-sleek. Casual mix and match, homey but more well-decorated, photography-worthy at most corners. We saw students, families, individual, couples coming in during our visit. If we were to say that 123Gasing is a cafe ideal for patrons from all age to visit, it won’t be too wrong we guess?

We love the mobile stall cart inspired facade, completed with exposed bricks painted in white, sided by two entrances for easy access. It is actually the coffee cum kitchen counter, opened-style, connecting indoor and outdoor area of Cafe 123Gasing. The outdoor is further adorned with stickmen wall murals, wooden table tops locked on blue steel legs, stone stools, bamboo porch swing with wooden furnishing.

Stepping inside, we realize 123 Gasing is more spacious than we thought of. Generally separated into three sections, where one side is more colourful, having whole stretch of wall paintings, customized cement benches laid with huge pillows. Younger generations are mostly seen gather there.

The inner corner is more comfy, putting together long tables, sofas and coffee tables for families to lay back, have leisure chatting. We like the tall tables with high chairs lining up along the side wall, more quiet, great for those who like to surf the internet or complete their work without much disturb. Look up the wall for humorous quotes, definitely will lighten up your day.

Mocha RM13

 Cafe 123Gasing opens from 10AM through 9PM, serving sandwiches, pasta, English breakfast, pancakes, cakes, coffee, house drink, tea on the menu. Not exactly extensive but sufficient for those who come by for simple breakfast or brunch. Afterall, it is a neighbourhood cafe. For ordering, proceed to the counter, pay and get your order number. Food and drinks will be served to you once ready. Semi-self service.

Flat White RM10

While we enjoyed the satisfying smooth frothed milk, sweet and chocolaty notes in our flat white, the mocha on the other hand, didn’t really suit our palate. Coffee beans are from Degayo, with price range of RM6 for espresso, RM10 for flat white, latte and cappuccino, RM12 for flavour-infused latte.

No comments on 123Gasing Cafe food, as we didn’t order any. Creamy Mushroom Penny, Spaghetti Pomodoro Chicken, Scrambled Egg with English Muffin, Club Sandwich, Scramble Egg with Smoked Salmon are some of the selections available. For desserts, Rainbow Cake, Chocolate Marshmallow, Classic Cheese Cake, Oreo Cheese Cake all seemed promising. Service wise, friendly and attentive.
