Just Seafood @ Sunway Giza, PJ : All About Fresh Seafood!

Just Seafood at Sunway Giza, a restaurant with name that well-represents what they have to offer – delicious fresh seafood ! It is located right beside TBF Brunch Bar Dessert, same row with Sozo Japanese Restaurant, taking over the previous premise of Fullhouse Restaurant. Look for a corner lot painted in all white, diagonally opposite to Sushi Zento.

A two-floors dining place, cafe’s style settings – orange brown floorings; wooden table tops supported by steel legs, sharing a similar grey shade with chairs; light bulb lamps hanging from the ceiling, complementing white walls adorned with huge mural, highlighting “Today’s Special” .

Within the spacious area, Just Seafood houses an opened kitchen where you can witness chefs in action. Lining up near the cooking counter are arrays of fresh seafood, together with housemade sauces that pair really well with their seafood. Red Hot Chilli, Housemade Green Chilli, Thai Seafood Chilli, Chincalok, etc., make sure to try them all and experience the “oomph”.

Australian Seafood Feast RM299
As we flipped through Just Seafood menu, we started drooling looking at the choices. From Steamed Clams to Air-flown Mussels, Flower Crab Glass Noodles to Australian Blue crab, BBQ Sting Ray to Grilled Barramundi, BBQ Squid to Tiger Prawns, each and every dish seems promising. But if you asked which would be our favourite, of course we will choose Australian Seafood Feast!

Enjoy three-tier seafood served in high-tea like rack, towering up 6 Xtra Large fresh oyster air-flown live from USA at the highest tier, followed by a full plate of mussels air-flown from Chile, prepared in garlic butter style and finally,  1.5KG of BBQ, meaty Mangrove Crabs.

Mangrove Crabs took our heart the most, but those FRESH, HUGE OYSTERS are most memorable. Just a slight squeeze of lemon juice and there you go, juicy oyster slip through the throat. Oyster is always a no-no for Summergirl but in the dinner, she had three and continuously praises its freshness even after weeks, asking when can she come back for more.

Famous Australian Chili Mussels RM49/800g
While Garlic Mussels is rich and creamy, suitable for diners who can’t take spicy food, Just Seafood Famous Australian Chili Mussels on the other hand, is blessings for those who place spicy delicacies as their all-time-favourite.  Using secret recipe passed down from one of the well-known chefs working in a restaurant crowned with “The Best Chili Mussels in Western Australia”, Just Seafood assures that their Chili Mussels will not disappoint.

BBQ Barramundi RM59.00/900g
BBQ Barramundi is surprisingly good. Highly recommended. Crispy skin, a bit smoky, rubbed with moderate saltiness at the outside, fleshy soft at the inside. Perfect with Just Seafood Housemade Green Chili.

BBQ Sting Ray RM44/500g
Not towards our liking, as it was slightly fishy, probably due to the large, thick size. Minus that, Just Seafood BBQ Sting Ray will be good.

Lemongrass Steam Clams RM37
Lemongrass Steamed Clams is very similar to our popular Chinese Xiong Tong Lala (Clams in Superior Soup), but with a twist of Vietnamese flavours through the use of lemongrass. Love the light, nourishing broth, plus hints of sweetness from clams.

Oyster Fritters RM29
Great snacks for sharing. Served with Tartar dipping sauce.

Kale Salad with Honey Mustard Vinaigrette RM47
If seafood is the first to have in Just Seafood, then Kale Salad comes second. Discover Kale – the healthiest green leaves on Earth as you toss the salad along with Japanese cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onions, jackfruit in Honey Mustard Dressing. You don’t find Kale leaves elsewhere in Klang Valley so far, only at Just Seafood, who proudly imports them from Australia on weekly basis.

BBQ Squid RM39/400g
We were quite full by the time BBQ squid was served, yet we managed to polish clean the whole plate thanks to the good texture – Chewy but not rubbery, locked with moisture. Accompanied with a thin layer of spicy-salty spices at the outside.

In short, a great place for high quality seafood. Fresh oysters are MUST!
