Bake Plan Bakery Shop @ SS2 PJ: Salted Egg Yolk Croissant

January 10, 2016 by summerkid_summergirl

Bake Plan Bakery & Bread Shop at SS2 continues the hype of salted egg yolk croissant, adding this most-talked about pastry recently to their baked goods. There’s no queue seen in this humble shop located beside AmBank, but rest assured, this item sold out by afternoon, almost everyday. We only managed to buy home two after several visits. Suggest to call them up in the morning and reserve the amount you want, Bake Plan SS2 will be more than happy to secure for you.

Molten Lava Croissant RM6.50

Shatter crisp outer layer, buttery moist inner layer, generously pumped with bright yellowish, creamy rich salted egg yolk sauce. Very sweet at the rough first bite, with flavours of salted egg yolk gradually comes through as we savour slowly.

Price at RM6.50 for a croissant, the size is smaller than the one we had in Le Bread Days SS2. More sugary loaded, but still fine when balanced up by savouriness from the croissant. Both has their own strength, but we prefer Bake Plan croissant’s “skin” over Le Bread Days. It is so crispy.

Onion Cheese Ham Loaf RM8

Besides Salted Egg Yolk Croissant, Bake Plan SS2 also boasts a line of freshly made, all-natural breads, buns, pastries and so forth. Choose from Blue Cheese Bacon Bread, Milky Spiral Croissant with Cream, Cheesy Toast, Chocolate Marble Toast, Parmesan Ham Cheese, Bluberry Jam & Chocolate Polo Bun, Parmesan Cheese bun, Red Bean Bun, Fresh Milk Raisin Soft Bun, and Matcha Pudding Green Angel Bread, just to name a few.

Most of their breads priced from RM3 onwards, not cheap though but considering that Bake Plan uses high quality flour imported from Japan for their artisan breads, freshly made daily with no artificial colourings, it worth the price you pay.

Comments: Just another place to get your Salted Egg Yolk Croissant fix. You can give it a try if you wish to compare theirs with other cafes. To us, some other breads in Bake Plan are more interesting. Staffs are very friendly, even gave us reminder on when should we finish our bread to avoid it from turning bad. However, it would be better if the cashier could carry more smiles, as she made us felt afraid of her. Besides, Bake Plan is a bakery shop, no seats offer. Just Take away.
