IDC KAPITI Ice Cream Inspired Dessert Cafe @ Damansara Kim PJ

IDC KAPITI Ice Cream Inspired Dessert Cafe Damansara Kim PJ

IDC KL at Damansara Kim PJ is a KAPITI inspired dessert cafe that has gourmet ice cream comes first, accompanied by more ice cream infused sweet treats and coffee to complete. Driving around the area, it seems unmatched to have IDC KL surfaces, seeing that the neighborhood is surrounded by rows of traditional kopitiams and fish head noodles restaurants. But to us, why not? It’s great to indulge in a scoop of ice cream after savoury heavy lunch or dinner. Even if not, chilling down with icy cold ice cream during scorching hot weather recently is good idea too.

Located next to SS20 Fish Head Noodles, IDC KL highlights a design which is commonly seen in many cafes within Klang Valley – white walls, grey floorings, wooden table top supported by dark color steel legs, white chairs, wooden stools, frames pictures, potted plants, huge glass windows, and so.

Not exactly outstanding for the interior but we do like the more private section at the inner side of IDC cafe, putting together coffee table, lamp stand, sofa, soft pillows, and lazy chairs to create mini-living-room-like area. Calm, cozy, comfortable.

KAPITI ice cream takes the limelight in IDC KL Cafe. In case you are not aware, KAPITI a famous ice cream & cheese brand originated from New Zealand, currently available in freezer department of major supermarkets. Hence, it it doesn’t appear to be as noteworthy as few other local artisan ice cream or softserve bar around the town like Sangkaya, Inside Scoop, Softsrve, and Every Sunday. Despite so, being one of the internationally recognised premium ice cream, plus the effort of IDC to churn out creative dessert like homemade waffle, crepes, funnels, cookies, infused affogato with KAPITI ice cream, IDC still deserves some notice too.

So what’s your flavor? Choose from wide varieties of KAPITI ice cream flavours from crowd-favorites Triple Chocolate, White Chocolate & Raspberry Ice Cream to interesting Fig & Honey, Vintage Strawberry & Cream, Spicy Apple Crumble, Affogato, Black Doris Plum & Creme Fraiche, Lemongrass & Ginger, as well as healthier sorbet selections like Lemon Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet and Lime Sorbet. Reasonably priced at RM8 per scoop, RM12 for 2 scoops, RM16 for 3 scoops. Wee, we got Buy 1 Free 1 because we dropped by at IDC on Malaysia 58th Independence Day! Happy Merdeka!

Savour more fancy dessert selections including Peanut Butter & Valrhona Dark Chocolate Fondant, Ice Cream Sandwich, Cranberry & Lavender-infused Welsh Cakes with Vintage Strawberry Ice Cream. Homemade Funnel Cake with Dark Chocolate Ganache & KAPITI Ice Cream and highly recommended Olive Oil & Sea Salf Flakes Affogato which we are more than eager to try out in our next visit. For drinks, enjoy espresso-based coffee like cappuccino, mocha, latte, flat white, or tea, chocolate and soda.
