Stage Cafe Malaysia @ Bandar Mahkota Cheras KL: Coffee Caramel Friendship Cake

Stage Cafe Malaysia in Bandar Mahkota Cheras KL raised our attention with their Friendship cake and Blueberry Cheese Tart that look so similar to BEAM Bandar Sri Damansara. With this, plus coffee finished with beautiful latte art, we once thought that Stage Cafe it is a coffee place run by the same team. Just, it isn’t. But one thing for sure, both cafes are managed by coffee enthusiasts who pull together their passion for coffee into the cafe, ensuring the best cuppa is churn out to every customer.

Opening from 11AM to 11PM from Wedneday to Monday (Friday & Saturday 11AM – 12AM), Stage Cafe has a long operating hours that allows you to visit for teatime coffee, or after dinner caffeine fix. However, heavy main courses like spaghetti, chicken chop, salmon steak, lamb shank or rice bowl is not covered in Stage Cafe menu currently. Coffee takes the limelight here, with interesting dessert, tarts, pastries, sandwich, big breakfast, salad to complete.

Our visit on one Saturday afternoon was a bit unlucky, as the area was facing water disruption that day. Thankfully staff told us that they still served coffee in takeaway cup, just plain water would not be available. Ordered a cappuccino and glad that it was up to our liking.

Friendship – When Tea Meets Coffee

For food, we tried out the famous Friendship Cake, which is a pairing of Jasmine Tea Chiffon Cake with Coffee Caramel Sauce. A very back-to-basic cake that need skills to ensure the airy, fluffy soft texture. Stage Cafe manages to get it right, adding with faint hint of Jasmine scent. Coffee caramel comes in strong to enhance the light flavour of chiffon cake, putting a good marriage when eat together. Highly recommended.

For savoury selection, enjoy Japanese Potato Salad, Spicy Grilled Chicken Salad, Seafood Salad, Big Breakfast, Turkey Ham Panini, Black Pepper Beef Bacon Mushroom Panini, Basil Chicken Panini, Fish Fillet Sandwich and Triple Cheese Panini, just to name a few. Chocolate drink, juices, tea are also available, in case you are not into coffee.
