Foo Hing Dim Sum @ Bandar Puteri Puchong: Best Portuguese Tart

July 1, 2016 by summerkid_summergirl

Foo Hing Dim Sum Bandar Puteri Puchong

Foo Hing Dim Sum Restaurant Bandar Puteri Puchong – Best Portuguese Tart in Klang Valley

Foo Hing Dim Sum at Bandar Puteri Puchong 富兴点心屋 , a restaurant that is worth visiting for more than just normal Chinese dim sum. Ask anyone staying around the neighbourhood, they will tell you Portuguese Tart is what Foo Hing famous for. In fact, some say they serve the best Portuguese Tart in Klang Valley. Dine in or take away, it is incomplete to leave the restaurant without tucking into their Portuguese Egg Tart.

Honestly, we are so into “tart-based dessert” recently. From Tokyo Secret Japanese Half Baked Cheese Tart to Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart, Xiao By Crustz French Fruit Tart, Le Bread Day German Cheese Egg Tart, Boite A Bijoux Portuguese Tart, or whatever pastries you can name of within KL and Klang Valley, we are anticipated to try them out.

Summerkid was travelling to customer site at Puchong last week, and bought home a box of Foo Hing Macau-style Portuguese Tart that Summergirl had long yearning for. Beautifully baked tart, priced at RM12.70 for 6 pieces.

Crunchy, flaky crust with layers, holding egg filling that is sweet, creamy, more solid that a Creme Brulee. Satisfying overall, scores on the outer crust but filling is a little too sweet for us. Still a gap comparing to the real Portuguese Tart we had in Macau, but good enough to fullfill our craving for this in Malaysia.

Apart from take away crowd on Portuguese Tart, we heard that Foo Hing Dim Sum House is always packed for during breakfast too. Guess food here should be decent. Siew Mai, Har Gau, Loh Mai Gai, Chee Cheong Fun, we will visit you soon!
