Tea & Tattle Damansara Uptown PJ: Your Tea and Tittle Tattle Corner

Tea & Tattle, a cafe from Ipoh, specializes in tea is now in Damansara Uptown PJ.

From Tea & Tattle De Garden Ipoh to Tea & Tattle Damansara Uptown PJ, tea lovers in Klang Valley can now enjoy over 100 types of specially selected tea, long list of good food and memorable homemade dessert offered by this tea specialist without having to travel up North to Ipoh.

The cafe takes over the former location of POKC, which is same row with The Good Batch and Korean Bingsu, two doors away from Rekindle coffee. Shop front appears in bold yellow, with interior painted in same colour, contrasted by furniture in white for a cheerful, happy ambience.

Tea & Tattle may still earning reputation in KL but back in Ipoh, it is a cafe popular among the young and old, well-known place for high quality tea. Each type of tea is carefully sourced, with varieties sufficient to suit almost everyone’s tastebud, whether you are towards herbs & spices, fruity, floral, wellness, or classic.

We are still far from being knowledgeable in tea, but we do like sipping on soothing, mind-relaxing tea once in a while. Visited Tea & Tattle Damansara Uptown last week for a fun “tea session”, giving a skip to usual weekend coffee hopping. As expected, tea menu is thick, full with description. From the more common Assam, Ceylon, Chai, English Breakfast, Hojicha, Genmaicha, Morrocon Mint, Wuyi Oolong, to tea crowned with interesting name like Happy Tea, ZZZ Tea, Tummy Tonic, Sleepy Tea, True Love, Tree of Life, Vanilla Berry Truffle, Caramel Pear, Coconut Oolong, Butterscotch, Snowflakes and White Guava Ginger, the list put us into hard decision on which one to choose from.

We seek for suggestion from the staff, and they were so nice to let us sniffed on some of the flavours. Finally settled down for Black Minty Black and Black Royal Burgundy. Teas with Passionfruit and Strawberry smells good too, gonna try them out in next visit.

Love this patented steeping chamber which has a valve that releases tea directly once place on cup, and stop when removed. Very “use friendly” to reduce spills, and fun too LOL.

Breakfast Totchos RM20

Besides serving tea brewed from loose tea leaves, Tea & Tattle menu covers also savoury food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Big Breakfast, Turkey & Cheese Sandwich, Breakfast Totchos, Sausage & Egg Boat,  Cheese & Mushroom Omelette, Grilled Lamb, Rosemary Garlic Beef Stew, Grilled Chicken, Vegetable Au Gratin, Fish Fry Combo, Shrimp Scampi, Seafood Spaghetti, Smoked Salmon Spaghetti, Grilled Chicken Breast Burger, Pressed Sandwich, Mushroom Soup, Yogurt Creme Brulee, Italian Summer Salad and more –  A combination of classic Western and modern fusion.

Breakfast Totchos- Tater tos baked with nachos, cheese, red onion, and spring onion. Served with sour cream, siracha sauce, a sunny side up egg and breakfast salad. Creamy, multi-textures, best tossing everything up together before eat.

Espresso Sandwich

Tea & Tattle Special of The Month, and Summergirl hopes it stays in the permanent menu, because it is so nice! Crispy, buttery croissant, halved and stuffed with tomato, lettuce, egg and turkey ham slices, adequately soaked with espresso sauce that seems unmatched, but surprisingly, tastes great. Aromatic nuances of espresso, magically enhanced the overall flavour. Only RM15.80 with an affogato now!

For those who visit for teatime, check out their cakes selections. All made in-house. Snowflakes is our favourite, a coconut-based dessert with layers of sponge cake and cream cheese, balanced sweetness, goes well with our black tea.

Overall review: From tea to food to sweet treat, everything we tried in Tea & Tattle was noteworthy. Staffs are helpful and alert, refill our tea once the pot is emptied. Makes some time to have tea and some tattle in this place, you won’t be disappointed!
