TimeOut Cafe & Diner @ Isetan The Japan Store KL

November 6, 2016 by summerkid_summergirl

Isetan The Japan Store in Lot 10, Bukit Bintang KL is probably the hottest shopping destination in Kuala Lumpur now. Even we are so addicted to this place because there’s so many things to see and eat. Just some of the items displayed can cost you a fortune. Saw a necklace at the price of RM262,000! Not the most expensive yet we guess. #handsdown What ever it is, on the good side, Isetan Japan has successfully turned a dead mall alive (at least in the meantime). On the bad side, we’re spending more, on food, fresh produce and groceries in Isetan. Hahahaha.

We’re glad that for dining options, be it cafes or restaurants, price are fairly acceptable. We already aimed on X coffee, Ukafe and TimeOut Cafe & Diner since its opening. X Coffee was so packed during our visit to Isetan Japan Store last week. Therefore we switched to TimeOut Cafe & Diner on 2nd floor, accessible from monorail Bukit Bintang station. Look for a corner with lots of wooden book shelves.

Tokyo Yakisoba-pan RM10

TimeOut Cafe & Diner

Menu is simple, just one page for food and drinks. Go for single hand bites, no guilt salad, sweet treats, coffee, tea, cold beverage or beer. Opted for Tokyo Yakisoba-pan, generally a common Japanese “grab-and-go” sandwich that filled up fried noodles and scrambled egg in fluffy soft bread bun. Just RM10 but quite filling. Tokyo Croquett-bun, Tokyo Bun Set, Croissant, Croissant Egg Sandwich are some other items to choose from the same list.

Flat white RM12.50

TimeOut Cafe coffee sticks to standard selections like americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, mocha, hot chocolate in iced and hot version. Cold beverage is more interesting, putting together Tokyo Yuzunade, Tokyo Mojito, Cola Float, Ice Cafe Latte Float that are great for hot weather. A nice cafe to sit back, relax, enjoy a cuppa and watch the world goes by.
