Yuyi Kopitiam For Pudu KL Best Pork Noodles

January 14, 2017 by summerkid_summergirl

– Pork noodles at Kedai Kopi Yuyi 友誼茶餐室, probably the best in Pudu KL area –

After the not-so-good Kui Lam Pork Noodles in Cheras, Summerkid is so “determined” to get a nice one to compensate this bad experience. Hahaha. Found a pork noodles stall at Yuyi Kopitiam and paid them a visit, as most reviews they got online are positive.

Kedai Kopi Yuyi is located along Jalan Brunei 2, which has many printing shops nearby. Congested traffic was as expected, difficult to get parking and after getting one, reluctantly paid for expensive parking fee at RM1.50 for first hour and RM2.50 for second hour. @.@.

The coffee shop is busy, but not overly crowded because most tables are placed far apart comparing to some busy kopitiam like Thong Kee Pandan Indah or the arrogant Ah Weng Kor Kopi in ICC Pudu Market. There’s only five stalls inside – Sam Kan Cheong Pork Balls Noodles, Pork Noodles, Yong Tau Fu and Fish Paste Noodles, Char Koay Teow and Chicken Rice. Glance around and we saw 75% of them are waiting for, or eating pork noodles.

Staff told us to wait for at least 30 minutes for our noodles. So happy it was only half an hour and not more than one hour. Finally arrived. Pipping hot soup, generously laid with minced meat, pork liver, pork blood, pork slices, pork intestine. Added an egg so our bowl of pork noodles is RM7.

Broth wise, it is clean in taste, quite nice but we personally prefer Machi Pork Noodles and Mama Love Pork Noodles Cheras version. But what makes Yuyi Pork Noodles stands out is their soup matches really well with their noodles, complementing each other nicely. Their minced meat balls are real good stuff too. Very comforting noodles. We finished off everything, drink up the soup too. Just, we got a little thirsty after that. MSG? =.=

In short, a bowl of pork noodles that worth the wait. Boss is forever cooking but he is so patient, one bowl at a time to ensure quality.
