5 Restaurants in Bangsar Turns A Printing Factory into Hipster Place

When we first knew about APW, or Art Printing Workshop Works in Bangsar Kuala Lumpur, it was all about famous roastery Papa Palheta from Singapore has landed in Malaysia. And then last year, Breakfast Thieves from Australia began getting attention from brunch lovers. When we went back again for a cuppa at PULP by Papa Palheta, we were glad to know that more new restaurants have opened in APW! All looks good! Haven’t been to any? Check out this coming weekend!

1. Kaiju Company Co., when Japanese meets Thai in food

Dine in a modern chic restaurant with a paper dragon above your head. Tuck into Japanese Thai fusion food, with a glass of cocktail specially concocted by the bartender. Kaiju scores pretty well on the ambience, drinks, and food wise, is a hit and miss but not bad overall. We like their Tom Yum Udon and Sashimi Salad.

4. PULP by Papa Palheta, by the famous Singapore Roastery

This cafe doesn’t need further introduction. Mentions about the Singapore coffee boutique Chye Seng Huat Hardware and these are the people behind PULP. They are the very first cafe in APW Bangsar KL, still going strong after years. Excellent coffee on every visit. They started with just coffee and cakes, and slowly rolling out fantastic breakfast menu that has won the heart of many loyal customers.

5. Breakfast Thieves Cafe, your place for Melbourne-style brunch

Well-know eatery from Melbourne, Australia. Charming interior like a glasshouse, with shades from green trees. Queue for your breakfast or brunch is expected here if you arrived too late. We thought that the crowd will be lesser after few months but no. When we were there for Kaiju Company last week, about 2.30PM, people was still making a beeline in front of Breakfast Thieves Cafe. LOL. Do try their 24 hours slow braised beef cheek with egg benedict.
