At Encore Pastry x Cafe x Restaurant Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur, one can hardly go wrong with their delectable dessert and pastries, now even better with delicious savoury main dishes. And soon after, as their breakfast menu is launched in June, you’ll probably have more reasons to visit this place.

Celebrating their third anniversary this year, Encore Patisserie is set to continue satisfy palates of folks staying around the neighbourhood, as well as sweet tooth across Klang Valley (*or beyond). Menu may be revamped from time to time, introducing new food that is best in quality at reasonable price.

Take this High Tea Set for instance, enjoy morsels of sweet and savoury items placed over 3-tiers high tea stand, together with a pot of tea at only RM50. Definitely a good value set with no compromise over quality. Available daily from 12PM – 7PM.

Started with the bottom tier – tuna sandwich, egg sandwich, mini pot pies; middle tier serves almond croissant, scones with blueberries jam and cream and the top tier- assorted mini fruit tarts, mini chocolate tart, tiramisu and our all-time-favourite mille feuille!

Passion Fruit Tart

Since the high tea set itself is enough to fit two, we check out their ala-carte dessert on a separate visit.  Passion Fruit Tart, Matcha Tart, Lemon Tart, Raspberry Cheese, Chocolate Mud Cake, Chocolate Truffle Cake, Opera Cake, Japonaise Cake, Pear & Almond Tart, Raspberry & Almond Tart, Fruit Plan Shortbread, Eclairs, amongst others – everything in the dessert counter looks so tempting! Feel so want to try ’em all!

Mille feuille is our biggest love in Encore Patisserie but apart from that, passion fruit tart and matcha tart here are worthwhile too.

If you read our previous blogpost about Encore, like 2 years back, you probably notice that their matcha tart has changed over the time, to better of course. Denser texture with real, pronounced matcha taste, nestling within a buttery, crumbly crust.

Apple Strudel

Pain au Chocolat

Puff, flaky pastries in layers, Encore Patisserie Cafe doesn’t disappoint. Summerkid enjoyed his Pain au Chocolat, not too sweet, crisp exterior. Summergirl as usual, will go for her Apple Strudel. Their warmth, fresh apple filling with natural sweetness and tangy touch is so on point!

Chicken & Ham Quiche

Encore offers a variety of quiche – chicken ham quiche, tomato & basil quiche, mushroom quiche. Australian beef pie, chicken mushroom pie and Shepherd’s pie are available too. We like our chicken & ham quiche with golden brown top, shielding juicy, custardy baked egg with extra flavours denoted by ham pieces and black peper. Make it a more complete and wholesome meal with salad and mashed potato.

Buttermilk Seafood Pasta

Diners who are looking for savoury main dishes during lunch or dinner, Encore now has from Asian choices like Nasi Lemak Chicken Rendang and Nasi Lemak Beef Rendang to Western fares including Minced Chicken Bolognese Pasta, Beef Bacon & Mushroom Aglio Olio, Carbonara Chicken Ham & Mushroom, Grilled Chicken Chop on Mushroom & Black Pepper Gravy , Pan Seared Salmon on Balsamic Reduction, Chicken Lasagna and more. We highly recommended Buttermilk Seafood Pasta – A best seller that is so creamy, full of flavours but not cloying at all.

Latte with Palmier

Palmier, another French pastry that Encore prides at. Butterfly shape, crispiness in layers with well-caramelized sugar coat. Best to go with a cup of coffee, be it black without milk or white with milk.

We really feel like introduce more of their food but too bad, stomach space not allowed. Will return Encore Patisserie for more. Glad to see that our favourite still maintain the quality with constant improvement after 3 years in the competitive cafe business.
