We still remember our dining experience at Goodness Greens by La Juiceria at TTDI KL some time back. Food was memorable – Colourful, healthy but not short of flavours. We especially loved their Buddha Bowl, Customized Salad bowl and Acai Berry Bowl. Have not been there for quite some time due to hassle of parking in that area and distance from our staying place, so we are pretty glad when we heard that they are now having an outlet at Avenue K Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur.
Named as La Juiceria Superfoods, this cafe aims to offer nutritional yet delicious food at affordable price. Diners can expect a menu similar to Goodness Greens by La Juiceria. Smoked Duck Soba RM18.90
Visited this place for dinner last week, sampling Smoked Duck Soba and Teriyaki Chicken Grain Bowl – the newly launched dishes on Superfoods La Juiceria menu, as well as Nasi Lemak Wrap – a dish name that really raised our curiosity on how it will taste like.
For both the new dishes, it is ideal for diners looking for comfort food at simple flavours. Soba tossed with dressing in light creaminess, topped with smoked duck slices that deliver main flavours. Other option on soda includes Tofu Soba Noodle Salad, Teriyaki Chicken Soba and Tuna Flake Soba.
Teriyaki Chicken Grain Bowl RM18.90
While for Teriyaki Chicken Grain Bowl, it is more filling with brown rice and quinoa base, topped with poached kampung egg, mixed salad leaves, sesame seeds and shredded seaweed. We mixed everything together like “bibimbap”. Nice!
Nasi Lemak Wrap RM21.90
Priced at RM21.90, some may say that this Nasi Lemak Wrap is way too expensive but wait till you sink your teeth into this huge wrap brimming with ingredients. Grilled chicken thigh, Kampung egg, ikan bilis, quinoa, tomatoes, Japanese cucumber, nuts, Romaine lettuce, virgin coconut oil – they creatively wrapped in all essential elements of Nasi Lemak within tortilla sheet, and served it with fiery hot sambal.
Modern fusion if compared to the traditional, but it is surprisingly good! We like how the texture of quinoa combines with the rendang chicken. So on point! Plus they are really generous with the amount of chicken thigh, trust us, you’ll get enough protein from the meat. Highly recommended.
Mixed Seafood Salad RM17.90
Added a bowl of Mixed Seafood Salad to share. Romaine lettuce, smoked salmon, crabsticks, cherry tomatoes, carrots, Japanese cucumber, roasted potatoes with thousand island dressing. Spotted a more special option on La Juiceria Superfoods menu – Bangkok Salad in Thai Coconut Curry Dressing! Will come back again to try it out. Alternatively, diners can also go for build-your-own-salad gourmet salad by choosing from the many fresh ingredients from their salad bar. 3 sizes to choose from, and the smallest with 1 base + 4 mains + 1 supplementary + 1 dressing is only RM15.90!
Superfoods La Juiceria at Avenue K opens as early as 7AM on weekdays and 9AM on weekends, so if you are looking for a wholesome breakfast, this is the place to go for. Check out their Breakfast Wrap (RM13.90), Power Breakfast Set (RM15.90), Kampung Egg Set (RM9.90) on all-day-breakfast menu, then complete with a cup of coffee or La Juiceria all-time-favourite cold pressed juices!
