Hotel On the Park Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands Stay Review

Hotel On the Park Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands staycation review! The hotel is located right beside the upcoming Century Fox Theme Park!

Went for a 2D1N trip to Genting Highlands last week and discover some of the best new things to do in Genting Highlands – A stay at Hotel On the Park, a visit to The SeniKome Péng Hēng and check out several new restaurants in Sky Avenue.

Formerly known as Theme Park Hotel, Hotel on the Park impress us with a brand new, refresh look incorporated with modern quirky and chic design. Expect more fun in this area of RW Genting when Century Fox Theme Park Genting opened in near future!

It is photography worthy at almost every corner, right from the moment we step into the lobby, till to the waiting area, lift, corridor and our room.

High ceiling and greyish floorings, complemented by giant, colourful stacked tea cups, pinkish high garden bench, shiny submarine-like registration counter and what we love most is the mirrored house optical illusion lounge.

This occupies just a small space but we find it so cool. Not sure about others but at least for us, we’ve not seen any hotels in Malaysia having such lounge area that serves more than just the purpose for sitting, resting or waiting. Certainly an artwork that deserves loud applause.

And yay, we spent about an hour here, playing with “falling from the sky”, “robbers sneaked in through the window”,”sitting on balcony” kind of poses. LOL. Too bad there’s just two of us. We believe it will be more interesting if the posing is done in group. Advise: do come with friends. Haha.

Moving to the room, WOW and smiles are the expression on our faces once we opened the door. The room is so pretty and cute!!! For seconds, we felt like we’ve gone back to the age of 9, walking into the cartoon land.

Adorable cartoon drawings of TV, wardrobe, baggage, shower rooms, toilet, mini coffee bar, safety box, light switch – almost everything, both we can or didn’t think of. Less words more pictures but definitely clear indications and symbols.

Quad Room

There are 2 types of rooms for Hotel on the Park – Quad Room at 260 sq ft for up to 4 persons and Sixers Room that can accommodate up to 6 persons as it is named.

The best part – PRICE . You could get Quad Room for RM200*, Sixers Room at RM240*. Which means, when you stay in total of 4 for the former, each pay only RM50! While for the latter, only RM40 per person if you have a group of 6 friends or families members staying together in this room!! So cheap! *Depends on Season

We checked into their Sixers Room – 300 sq ft in size with 3 queen size beds. Much spacious than we thought of. Plenty of space to walk around, but be careful not to trip over the one-step-higher wooden platform beds, or hit your head over the bunk bed, ceiling, as well as wall lamps.

We were too excited at first, moving high and low, inspecting here and there. Summergirl tried to get a “view” of the room from top bunk bed, ended up hitting the hard-dry ceiling above us. #SoStupid. Don’t be like us. Stay calm ok? Haha.

Bathroom and toilet are separated, with 2 basins. Hotel on the Park is very thoughtful, as they prepare 3x shower gel, 3x conditioner, 3x shampoo, 2xbody lotion, 6x towels for guests in this room. Not to forget, 6 bottles of complimentary mineral water too.

Besides, we like how Hotel in the Park makes the room more spacious with the brilliant use of their drawings. For example, instead of installing a physical cupboard, they paint a cartoon-style illustration of wardrobe on the wall, finish with real hooks and hangers. Functional, yet save space.

In case you wonder how Hotel on the Park gets its name – There is a beautiful park right behind the hotel! We woke up early the next day morning and went for a walk in the park! Tranquil, chilly with cold breeze caressed our faces, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking view the from top.

Eatopia is the only cafe in Hotel on the Park. Nasi Lemak, bread, curry puff, danish, chips, sandwich can be bought here.

There’s also vending machine at every floor, selling drinks and food like instant noodles, biscuits, milk, bread, muffin cake, coffee, etc so in case you felt hungry in the midnight, this could be your savier.

SkyAvenue is just about 10 minutes walk from this hotel. Plenty of restaurants and cafes you can look for, and shopping opportunities! Do check out this hotel, it really worth the price is pay for. Thumbs up to Genting Highlands for coming up with such a quirky and unique boutique hotel! It will surely brand capture the hearts of young and old, be it couple, friends or families!
