TWG Tea Malaysia Christmas Festive Set Menu, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

TWG fine luxury tea. TWG exquisite afternoon tea. To us, TWG Tea Salon and Boutique is very much associated with hi-tea style dining in an elegance ambience. In other words, shame to say, we actually put less focus on their savoury menu every time we are here, until we tasted their Festive Set at TWG Tea Salon and Boutique, Pavilion KL.

We came to realize that TWG has really worthwhile menu ideal for brunch through dinner. Wagyu Beef Burger, Pan Seared Seabass, Beef Tenderloin, Wagyu Green Curry, Ragout Fettuccini, Spring Lamb Stew and more – choices might not be as extensive as their tea selections, but rest assured, satisfying.

For TWG Malaysia Festive Set Menu, diners can enjoy throughout the month of December 2017, all day at TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques Pavilion KL, The Gardens Mall and Gurney Paragon Mall. Full 3-course set is priced at RM98+, including a choice of TWG Tea*.

We had 2 Festive Set, and picked different food from the options available to sample more flavours.

Appetizer
Seafood Indulgence
Get started with Seafood Indulgence – an appetizer with beautiful plating, adorning the white round plate with trio of Hokkaido, scallop, poached king prawn, peppered yellow fin tuna, citrus melange, salmon roe, beetroot pickle and mesclun with Lemon Blush Tea infused with honey mustard dressing. Light but doesn’t fall short of flavours and textures. Recommended.

Foie Gras Lasagne
Foie Gras Lasagne – Summerkid’s favourite. For a festive set below RM100, it certainly goes more value in price with Foie Gras on the menu. And TWG isn’t skimp on the portion. We were given two pieces of foie gras – pan seared to beautiful burnt brown at the edges for paper thin crisp, buttery and creamy within. Served with wild mushroom mousse infused with White Christmas Tea, candied orange and wild berry melange.

Other than Seafood Indulgence and Foie Gras Lasagne, diners can opt for Spiced Green Tea Soup – Homemade green tea soup with touch of Red of Africa infused chilli oil and creamy for appetizer.

Main Course
Took some time to decide our main course, as all three dishes look tempting. Let go Magret de Canard –
Duck breast marinated with French Earl Grey and citrus, heirloom baby carrots, cranberry compote and thyme cream reduction; and went for Beef Tenderloin and poisson Au Beurre Blanc.

Beef Tenderloin

Pan seared Australian beef tenderloin, medium rare doneness. Topped with a slab of herb butter that melt down slowly, blended with Red Tea Christmas Tea infused beef jus to create richer taste. Complement with cauliflower puree, grilled green asparagus and shimeji mushroom tempura.

Poisson Au Beurre Blanc

Our favourite dish. Pan seared Emperior fish fillet served over puree potato, dressed in lemon-grass ginger beurre blanc and a side of homemade fried prawn dumpling, vine confit infused with Vanilla Bourbon Tea.

Dessert

Round off our evening with dessert specially selected by TWG. We sampled Berry Vanilla and Hazelnut Joy. Like the former for its layers of texture with luscious ruby red appearance, dotted with gold colour mini stars that sum up the meal in a more festive way. The later was equally good too, also one of the signature desserts in TWG.

Silver Moon Tea and Grand Wedding Tea

Diners can have a choice of hot of iced tea from TWG extensive tea list (*all tea priced at RM21). Selections are way too wide for us. Thanks for the friendly staff for recommended us few of their best-seller, including Grand Wedding Tea, Silver Moon Tea, Royal Breakfast Tea, Chocolate Earl Grey, just to name a few.

Putting together the welcoming dining ambience, reputable fine tea and beautifully curated dishes at affordable price, TWG festive set is surely on of the best options below RM100 for your 2017 Christmas dinner in Kuala Lumpur.

*TWG Festive Set Menu is inclusive of GST and subject to service charge. Surcharge for tea above RM21
