From 16th May to 15th June 2018, award-winning Rama V Thai Restaurant at Jalan U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur carries out a-month-long Thai buffet, taking you on a gastronomic journey filled with authentic flavours of Thai.
The buffet spread, carefully prepared by experienced Thai chef, lines up a lovely selections of appetiser, soup, BBQ, curry, stir-fry dishes. Eat-all-you-can for only RM89nett per person!
Begin with Thai Papaya Salad, Spring Roll, Thai Fish Cake with Mango Salsa and Crispy Rice Cake.
While the first three are quite popular appetizers, the Crispy Rice Cake on the other hand, is less seen here. But we love the crunchiness, great with Minced Chicken Sauce!

…and not to forget, Thai Tom Yum in red and white chicken soup! Rama V tomyum is always our favourite. Pack a punch with balanced spiciness and sourness, helmed with pleasing herbs aroma. Initially we thought that for buffet, they will serve only red tom yum soup with mushroom but to our surprise, there are plenty of seafood inside! Fish fillet, prawns, squid, all in! Staffs are very generous in helping us to scoop out lots of seafood into our bowls too. LOL.
Save room for desserts. During our visit, they had Crispy Deep Fried Rice Ball with Coconut Puree & Jackfruit, Thai Style Pumpkin Custard, Water Chestnut with Jackfruit in Coconut Milk and Mango with Sticky Rice.
Love the Mango Sticky Rice that is served in a thoughtful portion. Smaller, but doesn’t fall short in presentation. Look at these charming sushi-like sweet treat!
Overall, food choices for Rama V Special Dinner Buffet might not have the widest selections comparing to festive buffet in hotels but rest assured, you will be satisfied with the good quality and taste.
