Mak's Chee Mid Valley KL

Mak’s Chee Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur 麥氏西池港式雲吞面 is now opened, ready to serve you authentic Hong Kong wanton noodles!

Mak's Chee Mid Valley KL

This is the third outlet for Mak’s Chee, while the other two are in One Utama Shopping Mall and Pavilion Elite Kuala Lumpur. We’ve been to the earlier two, and so excited to check out the latest branch!

#SneakPeak to those who love their Double Sunny Side Up with Luncheon Meat Rice as much as we do, do read till the end of this post! They will be having a more intrigued version of this dish!

First of everything, order a bowl of our favourite Wanton & Beef Tendon Soup Noodles (RM14.90,Small). Thin springy noodles, “goldfish tail” wanton and chewy soft tendon, served over a bowlful of pipping hot soup boost up with flavours of beef sauce.

Similar to Hong Kong, wanton and beef tendons are hidden beneath, covered by noodles on top. The inverse way of how our wantan mee is served. The reason why so, is to prevent the noodles from turning soggy. According to their team, there’s this Golden 1 Minute for Mak’s Chee noodles, which means, their noodles is best consumed once served. Take less pictures and enjoy the noodles more ya!

If you like prawn roe, this Wanton Dry Noodle with Prawn Roe (RM16.90 small) is must-try. Generous amount of prawn roe sprinkle on the noodles, heighten up the overall flavours with pleasing umaminess. You can have wanton, dumpling, beef tendon, beef brisket, Hong Kong Kailan to go with your dry wanton noodles too.

Differ from usual pork wanton, Mak’s Chee Hong Kong-style uses wild catch fresh sea prawns and dried prawn roes seasoning, wrapped them in thin, almost transculent wanton skin.

Trust us, Mak’s Chee Cursory Rice 2.0 is superb! While the Cursory Rice 1.0 served previously is plain rice, this upgraded version has white rice toss together with Hong Kong soy sauce, pork lard and chopped spring onion. So delicious even without pairing with luncheon meat and egg.

Recommendation for eating this Cursory Rice 2.0 – cut the luncheon meat into small cubes, break the gooey egg yolk, and mix everything together. Messy goodness is the way it should be. And we are quite surprise green onion actually cut through the flavour with bright pungent taste in between flavourful, making more lively instead of one-dimensional throughout. satisfying munch of

Pick your favourite drink of either milk tea, coffee, lemon tea, kumquat drink, etc.., then add-on addictive snack like deep fried wanton, popcorn chicken, Swiss chicken wing and more.

Drop by when you are craving for Hong Kong wantan mee after shopping in Mid Valley! We recommend their Deep Fried Wantons, Cursory Rice, Dried Wanton Noodles with Prawn Roe. While for drinks, Champion Milk Tea on Bed of Ice aka 冰鎮奶茶 is our all-time-favourite. Hehe.
